As many of you understand, our parish expenses and obligations do not take a vacation when you do, so it is very helpful to be able to rely on your continued support even when you cannot personally attend Mass here. We wish them all the best as they begin their high school journeys. The last day of school for kindergarten students will be Tuesday, June 10. On Wednesday, June 11, and Thursday, June 12, dismissal will be at 11:30 AM. The last day of school will be Friday, June 13. We will end our year with a Prayer Service in church at 9:30 AM. Dismissal will be at 10:30 AM. There will be no aftercare the last three days of school. We hope all of our students and their families have a safe and happy summer, and we look forward to seeing everyone again in September. All families who are returning to St. John Vianney next year will be receiving their tuition contract in the mail. It is imperative that you complete and sign the tuition contract and return it to the rectory as soon as possible. We must have this information before tuition payments begin. If you wish to pay your child s tuition in full, payment is due by July 1. Otherwise, tuition payments will begin in August. If you haven t already done so, please remember to sign up for your shifts at the Parish Fair. All families are expected to work two shifts at the fair. Beginning Monday, June 16, the school office will be open from 8 AM to 12 noon. Openings are still available for many grade levels for the school year. If you would like more information or would like to register your child, please call the school office at PRE-SCHOOL NEWS The last day of classes for the three and four-year olds will be Monday, June 9. The Pre-K 3 end-of-year concert will take place on Tuesday, June 10, at 9:30 AM in the main school Parish Center. The four-year old graduation ceremonies will take place on Tuesday, June 10, at 11 AM in the Parish Center. We still have a few openings for the school year. 4 Music Ministry News Adult Choir Thanks to our choir for another great season of enhancing our many liturgies. Before we break for the summer we will sing one last time on Sunday June 22 nd the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) at the 9:00 am mass. Our group is open to all adults as well as high school students!! We meet each Wednesday evening from 7:30 to 9:00 Pm in the church. The Adult Choir sings each Sunday (at the 9:00am or 10:45 am mass) as well as for Lenten services Holy Week and Easter. New members are always welcome and encouraged to attend! Children s Choir Many thanks to all those students who have been singing with us this season! We will sing again next Sunday June 15 th at the 9:00 am mass. I cannot thank you all enough for coming out this Sunday for the 8 th grade graduation mass. A big congratulations to all those graduating! We are continuously impressed and truly grateful for all of the support you have provided over the last seventeen years. Many homes have been repaired, and hearts have been healed through this project. We believe in this mission of serving America's poor with the talents of volunteers and youth from our communities. If you believe in this mission and did not have the opportunity to contribute financially you can make a check out to St. John Vianney youth group and mail it to John Cook at St. John Vianney Church, 420 Inman Avenue, Colonia, NJ We are one body, and your support has proved that to the youth in our communities and to the poor of the nation. Also, "Who do you say that I am?" The Jesus Retreat will take place on Saturday, June 28th, 2014 from 9:00am to 4:30pm at St. Mary's House of Prayer on Rt. 22 in Watchung. ISIDORE'S GARDEN The church garden next to the convent is our Spring thru Fall effort to "Feed the Hungry" by donating all our produce to local food pantries.
