For more information about the Pilgrimage Prayer, please visit the Archdiocese of Cardiff s website: An Invitation to a Christmas Retreat this is an opportunity to stop and listen to God s voice within us. A retreat day of prayer run according to Ignatian Spirituality. During the course of the day there will be two talks, imaginative contemplation, time for silent prayer in front of the Blessed Sacrament and time for group sharing. The day is open to people of all faiths and no faith and is free of charge. Lunch will be provided. Retreat givers Christian and Esther Mahoney. 3 3 rd Agnes Green (65) APF MISSION Red Boxes... There are a number of emptied Red Boxes awaiting collection from the Church Foyer. Many thanks for your generous donation for the APF Missions, if anyone is interested in having one of the APF Mission Boxes in the home, please contact Teresa on Please bring your Red Boxes in for emptying as soon as possible. (Last call for this quarter) NEW TO OUR PARISH... We welcome you, please let us know who you are and we invite you to complete one of our Parish Census Forms and tell us about yourselves. These forms are available in the Church Porch. MUSIC MINISTRY- Advent is approaching and we will soon have the Christmas period upon us. Arrangements are ongoing to prepare our music for the forthcoming Advent and the Christmas celebrations. If you are interested in helping, or joining in with us, please see Teresa or Anne the Organist over the next few weeks. We are planning a Christmas Carol Service on Sunday 11th December with a traditional evening of old and new Carols with spiritual readings. This will involve participation from young and not so young people, followed by mulled wine and mince pies. So keep this date in your diaries. All are welcome, celebrate with us and enjoy the true spirit of Christmas. Calling all Nationalities We are planning an International Mass to pray for Unity, Peace and Love throughout our troubled world. We are blessed with people in our parish from many parts of the world and we invite you to help us with your languages so we may include your native tongue in hymns/bidding prayers in our Mass. It would be wonderful to see tradition and culture come alive and shared with our Family of God at All Hallows. If you can help in any way, please contact Teresa. Date of the Mass to be confirmed in the next few weeks. What s On in The Coming Weeks?? Our next planned event is the BAKE AND BOOK SALE...Calling all our generous bakers to get baking, we are looking for all types of cakes and pastries for the Sale after the 9.15 am Mass on Sunday 20 November after the 9.15 am Mass. We have been donated a number of new books which will be available for sale at reasonable prices at this event. Please come and support this event and have the opportunity to buy a new book and a Cake as well as joining in for a cup of coffee/tea and a chat. Let s hope we will see you there!!! Parish Annual Christmas Dinner... Saturday 3 rd December. Have your booked for our Christmas Dinner yet! It is not too late...teresa is now collecting names and menu choices for this festive occasion. Cost of the dinner is 19.50, this will include :Soup of the Day, Turkey or Roast Beef with all the trimmings, Christmas Pudding or Gateaux followed by Coffee and Mince pies. This is a very popular event in the Parish and we would love to see you all on the 3 rd December in the Parish Hall. Dinner will commence at 7.30 p.m. followed by some yuletide entertainment not to be missed. ST DYFRIG S NEWS November The month of the Faithful Departed. November is the month when we remember, in a special way all our families and friends who have died. The Book of Remembrance will be displayed and there will be masses celebrated for those who have died. If you would like the name of someone to be entered in the Book (whose name is not already there) please write the name clearly on a piece of paper and leave it in the basket in front of the Book. Fr Allan will then make sure the names are entered. There will be a Mass of Memories in St. Dyfrig s on Saturday 26 th November am and in All Hallows on Wednesday 23 rd November at 7 pm. St. Dyfrig s Day Monday 14 th November there will be mass at St. Dyfrig s at 9.45 am. Autumn Bazaar on Saturday November 26th - thank you for the donations that have come in already. We are now looking for gift bags for the 'lucky dip', prizes for the raffle, items for the White Elephant stall and bottles for the bottle stall. There will be a meeting in the hall on Friday 25th November to set up the stalls.

4 Christmas Raffle - tickets should be available for the Christmas Raffle next week-end. Ist Prize is 100 cash so we are looking for donations towards this prize. Youth Club - because of a considerable drop in numbers attending the Youth Club, it has been regrettably decided to close for the foreseeable future. All the resources and equipment will be stored and if anyone wants to restart the group, it will all be available to use again. Thank you to all the volunteer workers who have given their time over the last 12 to 14 years. SVP we urgently need household goods. Single bedding, odd chairs, sofas anything to help people start up their lives again. Many thanks.
