Don t forget to turn in your CRS Rice Bowl by next week, April 12. We prayed, fasted and gave alms and now we celebrate! Our Lenten journey with CRS Rice Bowl ends in our own hearts, where Jesus reigns forever. Let us rejoice in our risen Lord and in the lives we ve changed this Lent in Tanzania, Nicaragua, Niger, Lebanon, the Democratic Republic of Congo and all over the world! If interested please Priscilla Goodman at pgoodman@stjuandiego.org Director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry Position St. Juan Diego Catholic Church has an opening for a full-time Director of Religious Education and Youth Ministry. We are looking for someone with strong organizational and communication skills, a passion for God, and the ability to work collaboratively. Responsibilities include designing, planning and implementing religious education for adults and children, sacramental prep for First Eucharist, Reconciliation, Confirmation and RCIA for children; Children s Liturgy of the Word; Middle and High School Youth Groups; and Vacation Bible School. A successful applicant must be a practicing Catholic in good standing with the church. A degree in theology or pastoral ministry is desired, but not required. Experience with parish child and youth programs is preferred. And the ability to speak Spanish and English would be helpful. We hope to fill this job by July 1. 3 SJD Soccer The St. Juan Diego soccer program will have an organization meeting on Monday, April 6 at 6:00 pm in the Narthex for all those that registered their interest. In the new Catholic Sentinel, meet some of the Oregonians who have decided to become Catholic. See what one woman with cancer thinks about life and Oregon s assisted suicide law. The Congregation of Holy Cross is featured in a series on consecrated life. Look at some spiritual dynamics affecting seniors and get ready for a retreat focusing on Mary, Undoer of Knots, a favored Marian devotion of Pope Francis. Are you interested in growing fresh produce for those that rely on the Oregon Food Bank? St. Gabriel's Church on West Union Road is putting together their wait list for their community garden plots that open up each year. St. Juan Diego Church helped start this garden and is actively involved with it.
