3 JMJ FIFTEEN MINUTES IN THE COMPANY OF JESUS CHRIST The following article tells us about the devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, which He himself inspired to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque. Jesus speaks: It is not necessary, my child to know much in order to please me, to show me your gratitude. It is enough for you to love me with fervor. Talk to me in a simple way, as you would talk to your mother or to your brother. Tell me his/her name or names. Your parents or siblings or friends. Tell me what would you want me to do for them? Ask much, much do not hesitate to ask. I like generous hearts, who seem to forget about themselves somehow in order to attend to the needs of others. Talk to me with simplicity and sincerity, about the poor whom you would want to help and console; the sick whom you see suffering, or the ones who are lost wandering in sin, that you would want them to come back to the right path. Or perhaps your absent friends that you would want them to come back to you. Tell me a word for all of them. A word of a friend who cares and loves his/her friends. Remind me that I have promised to listen to any prayer that comes from your heart, and would it not come from the heart, the petitions that you direct to me for those what your heart especially love? And for you, do you need a grace? Make if you will, a list of your needs and come to read it in my presence. Tell me with sincerity that you feel pride, love for sensuality and laziness; that you perhaps are selfish, unconscious, negligent, and ask me to come and help you with your efforts few or many those ones you do to get rid of such miseries. Do not be ashamed, for your short comings! In Heaven there are many just, so many Saints of first order, who had those same defects, but prayed with humility and constancy, and little by little they became free from them. Do not hesitate to ask me for spiritual blessings as well as corporal ones; health, memory, good results on your works, business and a happy outcome in your projects, I will grant you whatever is good for you and does not go against the holy will of my Father in Heaven. Do you have a project now? Tell me about it with details. What is bothering you? What do you think? What do you want me to do for your sister, for your friend, for your superior? What do you want to do for them? And for me? Don t you have desires of my glory? Do you want to do some good to others, to your brethren to your friends, some of them perhaps have forgotten me.
