God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land. Psalm 68: 5-6 An Official Welcome to Father Leon HELLO EVERYONE Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day and it will soon be Father s Day. Don t forget that we will be having a Strawberry Shortcake Special on that day. Also we will be remembering our Graduates on that day. Things have been pretty quiet around the church. If you hear any buzzing that is only the vestry and all the other worker bees trying to get ready for OZ DAY! What a wonderful time we all have on that day. It seems to creep up on us faster every year. Well Tania made it back to us safe and sound and has been busy getting ready for OZ Day. Please come out and join us. We will have our usual table up in the park and at the church we will have our usual hot dogs and snacks. Father Leon is officially our Parish Priest, can we hear an AMEN!!! Father Leon will be with us on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. Father Charlie will be here on the 2nd Sunday and the 4th Sunday will be Morning Prayer. Father Charlie is on the mend with his hand. Keep your spirits up, Father. Father Leon will also be available for all who would like to give him a call on the same Wednesday of the week he preaches. Our congregation seems to be getting larger. Yeah!! Won t you join us on Sundays too. Robin teaches Sunday School each week that we have children in church. The kids tell me they are having a great time. Way to go Robin. Ed Hoffman is back in the church and is doing well. For right now he can t really talk because of his heart operation but will be seeing a doctor to see if that can be fixed, his voice that is.. Real quiet huh Donna. The vestry minutes are posted on the board at church for those who may be interested. We had a wonderful guest and an old friend visit us for Bible Study. Betsey Savage and her niece were both here. It was great to see them and we had a great visit. Samuel Boyle, grandson of April Boyle and Great grandson of Ida Goins, is graduating from Fayetteville Manlius HS. He will be majoring in Computer Science in the Fall at Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA.

Leon Mozeliak, Tania Mousaw Absent: None Called to Order: 6:28 PM by Judy Olmsted Opening Prayer: Robin Weisbrod Review of Meeting Minutes from April, Motion: To Accept Minutes from April, M/S/C: Tania Mousaw/Sue Gerling Treasurer s Report Motion: To Accept budget from April, M/S/C: Robin Weisbrod/Sue Gerling Old Business Received two quotes from different contractors about the back stairs and spire. Agreed to table until next month while a new quote comes in. May have to have a special Vestry meeting to make a decision. The diocese will make the final approval after looking at finances and recommendations. Mike will ask the contractors for more detail. Will need to make a decision before the quotes expire. Fr. Leon described the different loans available from the diocese. Motion: To wait to obtain one more quote - M/S/C: Judy Olmsted/ Tania Mousaw We have a verbal okay to have Fr. Leon Mozeliak as our Parish Priest. New Business June Vestry Day is June 3rd. This conflicts with Oz Fest. Sue Gerling offered to attend. Fr. Leon received an education about Oz Fest. Certificate of Convention Delegates Judy and Robin to attend. Fr. Leon brought up a few different outreach ideas. Community Bikes is looking for anyone that can use a bike. Lutheran Home in Clinton secured a grant to provide caregivers support at no charge to the caregivers. LEM Training for Ed and Tania on the 21st after church. Sue Gerling Council of Churches Fr. Leon is invited to the Ministers/Pastors luncheon. Canal Day- Will not be selling pies or chicken. Crop Walk They are still discussing dates to host the walk. Vacation Bible School, run by Lisa McGork, is July 17-21st. They are in need of snacks from churches. Clear Path for Veterans is asking for a sponsor. A one-time donation was suggested. Motion: To donate $100 as a one-time donation to Clear Path for Veterans - M/S/C: Robin Weisbrod/Tania Mousaw Joint picnic with Fr. Leon s other church, All Saints, Fulton. The two wardens to coordinate and decide on the best date. Suggested a van to transport parishioners. Fr. Leon offered to host the picnic at his residence and asked that people bring a dish to pass. Fr. Leon recommended considering a later Sunday Church Service. Committee Reports Buildings and Grounds Mike Furtado Two quotes provided for back stairs and spire. Communication Robin Weisbrod The newsletter is doing well- haven t heard any complaints. The website is updated and a up-to-date calendar is available for anyone who wishes to check it out. Next on the docket is Oz Fest weekend and anything we have available to the public. Education Judy Olmstead We are still on the book of Mark. However we had a wonderful surprise. Betsey Savage joined us along with her niece for bible study on the 11th of May. It was great to have all the originals together again. We all went to lunch and had a great time. Finance Don Lee Reports reviewed - no changes this month. Letter of Agreement for father Leon received with minor changes - changes reviewed -no issues with changes. Brian noted he will be reviewing memorial money received and will transfer to memorial account this month. Father Grover donation to food pantry in lieu of compensation for 1st quarter due $300 Reviewed loan grant application for Diocese for building repairs needed. Motion: To donate $300 to Food Pantry in Fr. Grover s name - M/S/C: Robin Weisbrod/Sue Gerling Outreach Tania Mousaw No Report Suggested going to the Food Bank quarterly.
