1 English Music Schedule Special notes/reminders: Please look at the schedule and plan ahead to prepare yourself so you can be ready for rehearsals and to minister at Mass. Pay attention to songs that are new to you, especially the text, page turns, etc! Looking over this on your own will also help us have more efficient rehearsals. Don t forget to take time to read & reflect over the Mass readings. It will help you pray with the music. Note that we will continue to have the Laudate choir serve at our special masses and they have separate rehearsals. The choir is open to anyone who wishes to participate, whether for one mass or the entire season. These schedules & music are noted within this schedule. As ministers we help create a quiet, prayerful space for those who arrive early for Mass. We will therefore no longer rehearse music in the Church before Mass. Keep this in mind as you arrive and take your seat in the choir area. Warm up and mark your book at home and be ready to practice music with the assembly 10 minutes before Mass. During the Christmas season: be prepared to sing Christmas Carols 10 minutes before Mass begins The 1 st two weekends of Advent are cantor or duet weekends. The choirs sing on Dec. 17 th. Note that due to the way the 4 th Sunday of Advent turns into Christmas Eve (!) we will have a special weekend mass schedule. We will not have rehearsals the week of Dec. 25 th. We will have a special rehearsal schedule & dates during the week of Jan. 1 st. 2nd Collection for DSF Isaiah 63:16b 17, 19b; 64:2-7 1 Corinthians 1:3 9 Mark 13: min before Mass: teach Gathering song, psalm & prep song #397 Maranatha, Lord Messiah NO GLORIA Responsorial Psalm Sheet Ps. 80: Lord, Make Us Turn to You (Oramos Cantando chant) Gospel Acclamation #272 Missa Pacem; Cantors: Advent/Christmas Seasons 2 1ABC (p.8) Preparation of the Gifts #401 O Come Divine Messiah Preface Acclamation #179 Holy, Holy, Holy chant (acapella) Memorial Acclamation #181 When We Eat This Bread chant (acapella) #183 Doxology and Amen chant (acapella) The Breaking of the Bread #185 Lamb of God chant (acapella) Communion Song #909 Jesus, Hope of the World Sending Forth Song #412 God of All People, vs. 1 & 2
