A representative from the Hospitaller Sisters of Mercy from Pleasantville, NJ, will be enlightening us with their works. The organization has been in operation for the past 71 years. The sisters run a special school for the blind and handicapped, which includes training and aid to the handicapped. Please use the attached envelope in this week s bulletin for your donation. What is Catechesis of the Good Shepherd? Children only need the guidance and vocabulary to enable them to become aware of their relationship with God and give expression to it. This is done by a prepared environment and a trained catechist whose sources are Scripture and Liturgy. The prepared environment contains materials that are models of items used in the Church s worship such as altar, Eucharist, baptism, liturgical colors, etc. Life Chain Respect Life Sunday Everyone is welcome to participate in this event on Sunday, October 1, Respect Life Sunday, at 2:00 PM along Leechburg Road in Lower Burrell.
