2 You are Invited! Beginning this weekend we will start our sign-ups for Christ Life! Our sign up weekends will be Sept , and Our course will start on Wednesday Oct. 3 at 5:00 pm. There will also be a course for those who cannot drive at night beginning on Tuesday Oct. 2 at 11:00 a.m. The morning course will be limited to 15 persons. Sign-ups are on the front bulletin boards or you may call Ann at the office at What is Christ Life? Christ Life is an opportunity for all of us to go deeper in our relationship with Jesus Christ. There are three movements in Christ Life: Discover Jesus, Know Jesus and Share Jesus. We are going to begin with a seven week course called Discover Christ. It will consist of the following: a meal together, some prayers, a video and time for discussion after the video. Whether you are a lifelong Catholic, a new Catholic or someone who is trying to figure out who God is I think you will grow in your knowledge of who Jesus is from this process. Here are the topics for the seven weeks: What is the Meaning of Life? Why Does Jesus Matter? What Does Jesus Want Us to Know? Why Do I Need a Savior? Why is the Resurrection Important for Us? Who is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit and You New Life in the Spirit Why We Need the Church Please prayerfully consider joining us. It is seven weeks that could change your life! -Fr. Tim McKeown

They are available in gold or black. The cost is $2 each. Please place money in the box. Posters and Prayer Cards Our 2018 Seminarian posters and prayer cards are now available by the front doors. Please take one and pray for our seminarians and priests each day. O God, hear our prayer! Statue Due to the generous gift of the Broker family our St. Francis Xavier Statue has been renovated! It has not been in the church for over 50 years. On Sept 23 at the 11:00 Mass we will unveil and bless and rededicate the new statue. St. Francis Xavier, pray for us! Got Life Questions? Rite of Christian Initiation (R.C.I.A.) might just be for you! RCIA is for someone who: Is interested in becoming Catholic Was never baptized Was baptized in another Christian denomination Perhaps you desire to satisfy a doubt. Maybe you would like to explore the wisdom of Jesus. Whatever your quest, you are welcome to journey with others who gather in a comfortable group setting. 4 The weekend of Sept is dedicated to the Mission Coop Appeal. This year we will hear from the Daughters of Divine Love Narthex Construction This past week the following was worked on: Sheathing the roof Blocking and infilling framing at the structural steel in the high roof Plumbers were on-site to prep for their rough -in to begin and install the wall brackets for the toilets Continue the civil work on the sanitary sewer rerouting K of C Yard Sale Saturday, November 10th, 9 a.m. till 2 p.m. Rain or Shine Raising money to support Culture of Life Programs. We need items to sell. No clothes please! We can arrange pickup service if needed. Contact any K of C Member for assistance. Narthex Costs The Narthex project will cost 1.4 million. We will pay for this via the following: -637,000 from campaign -167,000 from Savings -128,000 Stocks -400,000 loan from the Diocese of Savannah -We are looking at the possibility of another 200k loan since we will need to pay off the entire construction costs in December/January but all the pledges will not be realized yet. Medjugorje For those who would like to receive a monthly message from Medjugorje from our Marian Prayer group they are available on the back table or you may sign up for a monthly at: MarysMessages33@gmail.com If you are considering going on the Holy Land trip in March but have not yet turned in your registration please let Fr. St. Francis Xavier is the charter organization for Boy Scout Troop 207 and Cub Scout Pack 207. The unit number 207 has been a Scouting staple in Brunswick for over 50 years, and we are proud to call St. Francis Xavier home! We are seeking young men to join us. Boys in first through fifth grades are invited to sign up for the Cub Scout program, and boys in middle and high school would be welcome to join Boy Scouts. If you're already involved in a different unit, we'd love to have you join us. Both the troop and pack will kick off their new year programs in the coming weeks.
