Your support helps the CCC connect people to Christ, here and around the world, through the internet, television, radio, and print media. Half of the funds we collect remains in our diocese to support local efforts. Be a part of this campaign to spread the gospel message and support the collection next weekend! 3 What s going on at St. Francis Xavier in June? Memorial Day (May 29). Office Closed. Mass at noon. If you have a relative or loved one who died while serving in our country s armed forces please write down their name in the back of church and we will remember them in Mass. (Please note that this is different from Veteran s Day when we remember our living service members). First Friday Adoration (main church June 2 from 2:00 to 8:00) First Saturday Mass (Chapel June 3-8:45 a.m.) Pentecost! (Sunday June 4). Come Holy Spirit! Prayerful Driving We will do a lot of driving over the summer. Do you pray before each trip in your vehicle? We will dedicate the weekend of June to committing to prayerful and careful driving through the Sacred Heart Auto League. Vacation Bible School (June 12-16). Registration forms are available on the back tables of the Church. Fatima Rosary (Tues. June 13) See page 6 for details. Corpus Christi (Body and Blood of Christ June 18) High School Summer Mission (June 20-23). See page 4 for details. Mary Undoer of Knots Do you have knots in your life? We all do! During the month of June, our Marian Chapel will be dedicated to Our Lady, Undoer of Knots. This is a devotion promoted by Pope Francis. It is a chance for us to pray for situations in our lives that seemed tied up or bound up be they medical issues, financial issues or relationship situations. We pray that our Blessed Mother will help us. Beginning the weekend of June 3-4 you can tie on your special prayer in the chapel. -Fr. Tim McKeown

4 This September we will begin Financial Peace University with Dave Ramsey. It is a course that helps with financial planning and peace. If you would be interested please contact Ann at the office at or annbuebel@bellsouth.net. VIRTUS class is being offered May 30th at 5:30 p.m. in Xavier Hall. If you are interested in attending, please call the Church Office for more information. Vision, Mission and Values Mission experience right in our own backyard. This is open to all rising 9th graders to graduated 12th graders. The mission is scheduled for June 20th through the 23rd. Please contact Marisol at sfxcym@gmail.com or call ext. 12 if you are interested in participating. We will be working with the City of Brunswick on projects. St. Francis Xavier Catholic School has an opening for a part-time Spanish instructor and an elementary teacher. Applicants for the elementary teacher must be eligible for a Georgia Teachers Certificate. We thank you for blessing us with a Parish and a School. May we seek Your will to further your work.
