Call the parish office to schedule. Sacrament of Confirmation Preparation for Confirmation is held within the Religious Education Program. The sacrament is usually conferred in the spring of each year. Sacrament of Marriage Arrangements are made by the couple with the parish priest at least six months before the wedding. Religious Education Transfiguration Parish offers religious education for K-8 grades in public schools. Classes are held on Sundays from 11:00 AM 12:30 PM Ministry to the Sick /Homebound Do you know a parishioner who is unable to get to church anymore but would still like to receive Holy Communion? Call Judi Damon at to make arrangements. Fr. Jim will anoint anyone with a serious illness, or who has upcoming surgery or tests see him after any of the Masses for a special anointing. Prayer Shawls You may request a prayer shawl for yourself or someone you know. Request forms at the entrance of the Church or call the parish office. Rosary Prayer Group Meets Tuesday Saturday Mornings at 7:30 AM before the 8:00 AM Mass. Parish Membership New parishioners always welcome! Ladies of Charity monthly collection last weekend amounted to: $712. Thank you for your continued support which allows us to practice the Corporal Works of Mercy of feeding the hungry and giving water to the thirsty. Social Ministry Happenings Prayer Group Our next prayer group meeting will be Thursday, June 18 at 7 PM in the church. Verification forms for Catholic Schools If you have or are enrolling your son or daughter in a Catholic Elementary (K-8) School or Catholic High School for the school year, we must have a copy on file of the Pastor Verification form or a copy of the PSAS (Private School Aid Service) form. Please make sure that you send us a copy for the parish records. Thank you. Lawn Crosses Show your faith by displaying a lawn cross at your home and/or cemetery. If you would like to have a cross, there is a supply in front of the meeting room. Suggested donation is $5. Thank you! Upcoming Events On Mission for the Church Alive! Bishop David Zubik invites all Catholics to take part in a dynamic planning initiative called On Mission for the Church Alive! Three Evenings of Prayer will be held this summer to seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The first session, an Evening of Adoration with the theme, What Am I to Do? will be held on Wednesday, June 24, at 7 PM at twelve parishes throughout the diocese. Hoagie Sale Fundraiser Daniel Bauer, from our Boy Scout Troop, and a parishioner, is working on his Eagle Scout Project and is having a Hoagie Sale to raise money to help offset the project cost of designing a prayer space for the Blessed Mother statue in front of Fr. Jim s residence. Hoagies are 12 Italian or Turkey on a Breadworks Roll for $7. Order forms are inside today s bulletin and are due by Sunday, June 21st. The forms and money can be returned in the church collection basket, in a separate marked envelope. Hoagie pick up is July 2nd from 5-7 PM in front of the church kitchen.
