SYMPATHY EXPRESSIONS IN PRAYERFUL REMEMBRANCE We remember Terry Colton who passed away unexpectedly on April 12, Terry was the beloved husband to Frances Gale Colton for 32 years & father to ten children. Please remember Terry and his family in your prayers. May God s Spirit bring peace and comfort to them during this difficult time. May he rest in peace with our Lord. MAGNIFICAT PITTSBURGH PRAYER BREAKFAST Ladies, come to the Magnificat Pittsburgh prayer breakfast on May 12, from 9 am to Noon at the Crowne Plaza, Green Tree. Hear speaker Kelly Reed tell about her journey to God, from cradle Catholic to a time of beliefs that ignored or dissented from Church teachings to a conversion through Mary to a loving relationship with the living Christ. ST JOSEPH HIGH SCHOOL SUPER RAFFLE Tickets for Saint Joseph High School's $20,000 Super Raffle are now available! You can t beat these odds! Only 500 tickets will be sold at $100 each. 4 Connect with Parish and Community I Am The Good Shepherd The image of God as shepherd and his promise to lead his people in safety appears throughout the Bible. It is one of the most tender images of God that we can have as he assures us of his constant care and protection in our lives. This care applies not only to us individually as his children, with the shepherd carrying us in his arms, but also to us collectively as the Church, with God leading his flock in safety. This repeated promise to shepherd his people is our guarantee that God is in charge of his Church and that he leads us no matter the circumstances. As we journey On Mission for The Church Alive! we may wonder where the Lord is leading us. While it is natural for us to resist change, it is also an opportunity for us to grow in trust of God, our shepherd and guide, that he may transform us and his Church. As we learn the decisions regarding Parish Groupings and Clergy Teams next week may we call upon our Good Shepherd to lead us and our parishes in the years ahead. Wednesday, April 25 at 7 pm in the church ~ Our country needs our prayers! We will be on break for the month of April SIX STEPS TO SANITY PROGRAM EVERY WEDNESDAY, FROM 7:00-8:30 PM (Our session started March 14 and runs for 12 weeks) You can join us at any time during the sessions. This is a faith based ministry designed to bring hope, healing and serenity to family and friends of those caught in the cycle of addiction. This FREE program is based on the book: Setting Boundaries with Your Adult Children: Six Steps to Hope and Healing for Struggling Parents, by Allison Bottke. At this time, the children and parents will make their Communion Banners. FIRST HOLY COMMUNION REHEARSAL will be on Saturday, May 5 from 9:00 am 10:00 am. All students and parents must attend. FIRST HOLY COMMUNION is on Sunday, May 6 at the 10 am Mass. LAST DAY OF CCD CLASSES will be on Sunday, April 29. This will also be a Children s Mass. Please arrive in the meeting room by 9:45 am so we can process in with Fr. Jim. LADIES OF CHARITY NEWS Tuesday, May 15, at 7 PM May 5 & 6, 2018 after all Masses RELIGIOUS ITEMS SALE The Ladies of Charity will be hosting a sale of religious items after each Mass next weekend, April 28 & 29th. A.T. Merhaut, Inc. will be supplying the items that will be sold. Lots of items to choose from for gifts for Baptisms, Holy Communion, Birthdays, Graduation, Anniversaries or Wedding gifts.
