3 EPISTLE READING: St. Paul's Letter to the Hebrews 1:10-14; 2:1-3 "IN THE BEGINNING, Thou, Lord, didst found the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of thy hands; they will perish, but thou remainest; they will all grow old like a garment, like a mantle thou wilt roll them up, and they will be changed. But thou art the same, and thy years will never end." But to what angel has he ever said, "Sit at my right hand, till I make thy enemies a stool for thy feet?" Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to serve, for the sake of those who are to obtain salvation? Therefore we must pay closer attention to what we have heard, lest we drift away from it. For if the message declared by angels was valid and every transgression or disobedience received a just retribution, how shall we escape if we neglect such a great salvation? It was declared at first by the Lord, and it was attested to us by those who heard him. GOSPEL READING: The Gospel according to St. Mark 2:1-12 At that time, Jesus entered Capernaum and it was reported that he was at home. And many were gathered together, so that there was no longer room for them, not even about the door; and he was preaching the word to them. And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him; and when they had made an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic lay. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, "My son, your sins are forgiven." Now some of the scribes were sitting there, questioning in their hearts, "Why does this man speak thus? It is a blasphemy! Who can forgive sins but God alone?" And immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they thus questioned within themselves, said to them, "Why do you question thus in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, 'Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, 'Rise, take up your pallet and walk? But that you may know that the Son of man has authority on earth to forgive sins"-he said to the paralytic-"i say to you, rise, take up your pallet and go home." And he rose, and immediately took up the pallet and went out before them all; so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, "We never saw anything like this!" 4 Notable Priests Project The photographs of priests who have served Holy Trinity Church have been framed and mounted on the wall in the Founders' Walk. This commemorative wall honors the priests who are recognized as priests in good standing with the Archdiocese and have served our Parish. Our gratitude to Diane Hamstra and Elaine Jannetides for their efforts to honor these priests including their grandfather, Father Velonis, the first priest of the Parish. The Retreat is sponsored by Philoptochos and the Ladies of St. George. The guest speaker will be Kh. Stefanie Yazge, PhD from St. Vincent College in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Please remember to bring your Bible. Bookstore Essential books for Great Lent are available in the Holy Trinity Bookstore. Lenten Liturgies is $29 and Salutations and Akathist Hymn is $22. The Bookstore is open each Sunday following the Divine Services.

5 Lenten Bible Study - Galatians A series of five Lenten Bible Study sessions will continue on Tuesday evenings at 7pm from now through March 28. Father Lucas will lead a study of St. Paul s letter to the Galatians join us to explore the various themes and the application of this epistle in our lives today. Please bring your Bible. Flowers for the Salutations Service Flowers will be placed next to the icon of the Theotokos for the Salutations Services on Friday evenings, March 24 & March 31. If anyone is interested in donating these flowers, please contact Sandy in the Parish Office at (317) First come, first served. Philoptochos Tsoureki (Pascha Bread) and Phyllo Sale Pre-order only. Order deadline is Tuesday, April 3. Pickup is Sunday, April 9. Order forms are available online at and in the Founders' Walk. AHEPA Scholarships 2017 The AHEPA-DOP District #12 Foundation, Inc is offering five $1500 scholarships for Three are for high school graduating seniors, and two are for college undergraduates. Scholarship rules and applications are available at Deadline: April 1. Holy Friday Retreat Please mark your calendars for the Holy Friday Retreat on April 14. There will be programs for preschool-12th grade students. Myrrh-Bearers All girls ages 9, 10 and 11 years old are invited to serve as Myrrh-Bearers for the Holy Friday Evening Service on April 14. Practice will be Holy Friday afternoon at 1pm. If you would like to participate, please contact the Parish Office at or Sandy@holytrinityindy.org. Only 4 more girls may sign up. Altar Boys & Narthex Servers All Altar Boys and Narthex Servers can serve in their respective positions during all weekday Divine Services of the Great Lent and Holy Week. So, if a Divine Service is offered Monday through Saturday from now through and including Saturday morning, April 15, all Altar Boys and Narthex Servers are welcomed to serve with two exceptions. On Holy Friday evening, April 14, only those Altar Boys and Narthex Servers who are present and vested by 7:05pm can serve. For the Resurrection Service, April 15, only those Altar Boys and Narthex Servers who are present and vested by 10:05pm can serve. Also, for Easter Sunday Agape Service, all Altar Boys and Narthex Servers are welcomed to serve.

6 Parish Office Request To assist our Parish Office Staff in keeping accurate records, please include the purpose of each donation in any form. For example, when donating by check, please include the words Stewardship 2017 or "sound system" on the memo line; if giving via Paypal, include the giver s full name and address, and in the Notes section, enter the purpose; OR when sending cash, please write the giver's name and the purpose on a note or envelope. The Office Staff greatly appreciates the cooperation of our parishioners, enabling the donation to be properly recorded in the appropriate account. Stewardship Everyone who has not yet completed a 2017 Stewardship Commitment Card is encouraged to do so. Blank cards are available in the Founders' Walk following the Divine Services and online at Iconography Phase 3 Those interested in donating an icon for Phase 3 are encouraged to review the updated list of available icons. The process is the same as Phase 2 -- "first come, first served". Please include the Code Number on the memo line of the check. If another means of donating the funds is used, the Code Number should be either written on paper or sent in an to avoid any confusion. When full payment is received, the icon is then considered donated and thus not available to anyone else. A display of sketches for Phase 3 is in the Founders' Walk. If a particular Saint is not included on the present list, please inform Father Bill in written form which other Saint might be considered. When Dr. Kordis begins his work, more Saints may be included. Coffee Hour Sign Up Coffee Hour is a time of fellowship and everyone is encouraged to volunteer.
