4 YOUTH & EDUCATION MINISTRIES Sunday School We are proud of each one of our participants in the 2017 St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival. Our Parish Finalists will be representing our Cathedral at he District, or Central Conference, Oratorical Festival which will be held on Saturday, April 1 st at Holy Transfiguration in Marietta. Mark Your Calendars! Heretismi Services: Grades are assigned to each Friday. On those dates, your children will present flowers to the Theotokos. March 17 th - 6 th, 7 th & 8 th March 24 th - 9 th, 10 th, 11 th & 12 th March 31 st - ALL Grades Philoptochos Scholarships The Philoptochos Ypapanti Chapter has two $2000 scholarships (Anna Mae Livaditis Memorial and Philoptochos) dedicated to promote, encourage, and advance education. These scholarships are limited to high school seniors and undergraduate college students who are members of the Cathedral. The scholarships are awarded based on financial need foremost as well as academic achievement and involvement in the church & community. Students who have not previously received the scholarship are encouraged to apply. Applications are available on the Cathedral website or by ing Claire Gilmore at gilmore11@comcast.net. The deadline to submit the application is April 21 st All information is held in strict confidence. Sunday School students in PreKC-5 th Grades will participate in the procession on March 19 th, Sunday of the Holy Cross. On this Sunday, ALL classes will be held for 30 minutes.
