7 SUNDAY SCHOOL REPORT FOR NOVEMBER 5 ~ Vision Statement ~ To be a community of engaged and educated young Orthodox Christians. ~ Mission Statement ~ To encourage and foster spiritual growth of young people in our Orthodox Faith. Kindergarten - 1st grade: Donna Thomson Attendance: 2nd grade - 4th grade: Brenda Roman Attendance: 5th - 6th Grades: Daphne Courey & Terry Theodorou Today the children started class with a test to see what we need to focus on in upcoming classes. We were going to study Materialism and I asked the children what was their most prized possession, expecting to hear cell phones, X- box, etc and all kids answered their parents, family, book, pets. What great kids! Our object lesson was on keeping ourselves filled with the Holy Spirit through prayer, being kind, stewardship, going to church, forgiveness, etc and how things in our daily life can cause us to "leak" and not be so filled when we sin and how we can stop the leak and work towards being so full of the Holy Spirit that the blessing can over flow and bless others. Attendance: 7 7th - 8th Grades: Fred Cannaverde We once again went over putting on the Mind of Christ and using the fourth commandment as keeping the Lord's day Holy as a bridge to the next six commandments. Had the students use the bible to look up the verse 1 Cor 2:16 so that they see that scripture points us to putting on the mind of God and ho that is beneficial to us, Today's focus was on honoring your Father and Mother and how important that relationship is because our parent are co-creators with God in bringing each of us into being. 9 The Bakaliko will reopen. George Ladis & Jim Papageorge will take care of the ordering. There will be a sign up sheet by the Bakaliko for individuals to sign up to run it on Sundays. We need 2 people each week. If there is no one on a particular Sunday then in will not open for that day. Bakaliko is not open during the week. 9

10 ZOE December finds the group off to a beautifully decorated-for-christmas venue and delicious time at the Duran Country Club in Viera, 7032 Stadium Parkway, at noon on December 14th. Please reserve ASAP, last day to reserve is Sun., Dec 10th. $27 for a delicious buffet luncheon. Exact buffet menu will be forthcoming and entertainment will lift our spirits for the day.
