Monday, February 27 th Clean Monday (Kathara Theftera): Following the Lenten Orthros Service at 10:30 AM, in the Cathedral, approximately 11:30 AM, we will share a pot luck luncheon. Everyone is asked to bring a Lenten dish to serve four people. Guest speaker is our own parishioner, Helen Carlos, who will share her experiences with the Hellenic College Holy Cross. Also at this time of year, the Golden Group donates Easter Baskets for the less fortunate children of St. John s The Wonderworker Orthodox Church in Atlanta. Last year, with your help, over 30 baskets were donated. We ask that you please bring an Easter basket to our next meeting on March 9 th, to be distributed in time for Easter on April 16 th. Please note change from previous years: In our commitment to providing the best Glendi experience, NO DINNER TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR ON EVENT NIGHT. 4 YOUTH & EDUCATION MINISTRIES Sunday School January 22 nd - Parent Open House Parents visit each classroom: 6 th Grade - 12 th Grade- First 15 Minutes Pre-K - 5 th Grade - Last 15 Minutes January 29 th - Class Presentations in the Cathedral (PreKA, PreKB, PreKC, Kindergarten & 1 st Grade) On the Sunday your child's class will be presenting, please meet in the Bride's Room at 9:15 am. Your child will sit with his/her teachers. Immediately following the presentation, meet them in the Narthex so they can sit with you for the remainder of the Liturgy. Upcoming Class Presentations: Sunday, February 5 th : 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th & 5 th Grades Sunday, February 12 th : 6 th, 7 th & 8 th Grades Sunday, February 19 th : 9 th, 10 th, 11 th & 12 th Grades Mark Your Calendars! Godparents Sunday will be celebrated on Sunday, February 12 th. Invite your godparents and/or godchildren to attend church with you on this day. A special coffee hour in their honor will be held. Junior Division is open to 7 th -9 th graders. Senior Division is open to 10 th -12 th graders. Finalists (top 2) in each division will be awarded a scholarship that covers one week at St. Stephens' Camp. The Parish Alternate (3 rd ) in each division will receive a $100 gift card. *Participation in Oratorical also counts toward eligibility to apply for the 2018 HDF Odyssey trip.
