Each sessin includes prayer, vide presentatins and time fr discussin. S, what is Symbln? In the early Church, Christians described their Creed, their summary statement f faith, as the symbln. Paul in his letter t the Crinthians reminds us that this wrld is passing away s get ready fr the next life. And while we are getting ready fr the next life, Mark, in his gspel, encurages us t see that the kingdm f Gd is at hand, be part f it and believe and serve the gspel. Winter Recruitment Drive: With the readings tday, it s a great time t remind yu f ur winter recruitment drive. Our head usher fr the last 17 years, Jerry Kazimir, is asking t let smene else serve as lead usher as he puts it smene yunger and with mre energy and time. While I reminded Jerry that we never retire frm ministry and discipleship in Christ, it s nt fair t Jerry, wh has served ur parish s faithfully and well, t nt let anther persn serve in a leadership rle. CLOWN/HELPING HANDS MINISTRY The Clwn and Helping Hands Ministry went ut last Saturday night t deliver a ht meal t mre than 150 needy and hmeless peple at Saint Malachi. These hmeless peple were s grateful that we wuld serve such a delicius meal n such a cld night. That is why we call this ministry a ministry f lve. It is tuching that ur vlunteers wuld leave the cmfrt f their hmes t g ut n a frigid night. In a recent interview with channel 3 news, Rick Cstanz, in cmmenting abut feeding and clthing thse in need, stated, We are ding Gd s wrk. Since that segment aired, we have received phne calls, financial help, and dnatins f sleeping bags and clthing. I received a check frm an lder cuple with a nte saying that the gentleman is in a wheelchair and the wman walks with a cane, but after seeing thse pr suls ut in the frigid weather, they wanted t dnate a check t ur ministry t help mre hmeless peple. This is just ne f many letters we received. We have been s blessed and Gd will cntinue t bless us as lng as we d His wrk. Gd bless yu all and thank yu. GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.
