2 What a great celebration with filled parish temple by parishioners and guests. The children of first confession did a great job of reading the Epistle for the day and singing in the Children s choir the prayer of Otche Nash and New Commandment. Those children made an important step in their life thanks to their teacher Miss Aileen Gardiner who has been preparing them for two school years. We are thankful to her dedication and love to our children. The celebration continued at the Church hall where special breakfast was prepared by Gordiner & Rak family for the Children of First Confession and luncheon served for all attending by the parents of First confession class. Indeed a great day well spent when the parish family gets together and invites relatives and friends. Blessed Father s Day Happy and Blessed Father s Day to all of our fathers! To be a Father is a vocation To become a Father is one thing to be a Father is another. To be a good Father is a constant work That requires, lots of love, sacrifice, patience, endurance, dedication and forgiveness. To fulfill the calling to Fatherhood is an achievement of the life time. You don t have to have your own children to father the children. Father them well! 4 Picnic at our neighbors June 25 Ukrainian Parish of Blessed Virgin Mary, next door is going to host their picnic on August 25, Noon 5:00pm W. 131 Street Palos Park, IL Food, Drinks, Dancing, Music & Fun for all ages. Raffle. Plenty of entertainment for children Seraphim Group The Next Seraphim group meeting is Wednesday July 12 we will start the day with Moleben to Sts. Peter and Paul followed by BBQ and celebration of Parish Feast Day. At the last get-together we had a delicious luncheon followed by visitation of Josephine Hobart. Delicious food, nice atmosphere and great company. Join us for a great get together on the second Tuesday of each month. Fun time in the circle of fellow parishioners. For more information see the president of Seraphim Group Howard Brooks Church School Summer Camp This Year s Church School Camp is going to be for two days. Thursday August 10 & Friday August 11. Please mark your calendars and bring your children, grandchildren, nephews and nieces. The camp is free of cost.! Prayers, fun activities, learning games, outing to the Red School house. Hours are: from 9:00am 3:30 pm. If needed, the arrangements children can be made to drop of children earlier or pick later pick up. Parish News Our parishioner Wally Podlecki had a successful surgery of the hip and recovering at the rehab facility. He would love to have you visit him. 5 338 Parish Council Next Parish Council meeting is Sunday June 25 following Coffee Hour. Please volunteer to work at the Festival. Sign up sheets are place by the coffee table in the Church hall. That s odd, answers the man. I work for the Minnesota Twins! A nurse says to the second guy, Congratulations! You re the father of triplets! That s weird, answers the second man. I work for the 3M company! A nurse tells the third man, Congratulations! You re the father of quadruplets! That s strange, he answers. I work for the Four Seasons hotel!
