1 May 2016 Vol. 49 No. 5 The Great Bend Christian FCC is pleased to announce a convenient new way to make your regular offerings. With our new electronic giving program, you can easily and safely set up a recurring giving schedule or make one-time contributions via debit card or check. We have created this new way of giving because we know for many this will make giving much more convenient. There are a couple of different ways you can get to our giving page; 1) go to our website at fccgbk.com and on the home page just below the online giving picture is a link 2) You can type into your URL bar and go directly to it, or 3) use your QR scanner on the QR code below and it will take you directly to it. Once you get to the page just follow the directions and that is it! Please keep in mind there is a small fee for these transactions. If you have any questions, please contact the church office ( ).

5 A sermon series beginning May 15th where we will be learning what it means to be a people devoted to living in, and bringing about the Kingdom of God. The FCC Board approved the formation of a committee to focus on how we can use Recycle-Reduce-Reuse to better our care of God s Creation, both as a congregation and as individuals. Members of this committee are : Matt and Dena Hiss, Rachelle Sheets, and Rev. Sue Bishop. This is the first step toward recognition by our General Church in a program called the Green Chalice. It is simply a way to be recognized for the programs we already have in place, and for encouragement to do more. Right now we already REDUCE: Use control thermostats; turn off lights when leaving the room; paperless newsletter option; reduced paper rotation model curriculum; newly purchased nursery furniture. REUSE: Garage Sale and donations to Dream Center & Salvation Army RECYCLE: paper, cans, plastic bottles, glass and cardboard. Look for the green chalice symbol in future newsletters for simple suggestions on how we can become better stewards or for awareness information about current programs available in our church and community. If you are interested in serving on the Green Chalice Committee, contact Matt or Dena Hiss or Pastor Sue.. Web Site: FCC's podcast: Facebook: firstchristiangb
