1 September 2015 Vol. 48 No. 9 The Great Bend Christian Starting Sunday, September 6, we are beginning a new Sermon Series over the Parables of Jesus called "Stories that Change Everything". In this 5-week series, our goal will be to encounter and be encountered by these incredible, and incredibly strange stories Jesus told that reveal to us the secrets of the Kingdom of God. So please put it in your schedules now, because you will not want to miss this life changing series! The more you give, the more lives are changed! The more you give of your time, talent, and wealth, the more lives we, as the First Christian Church of Great Bend, are able to change. Think about it in this way. The purpose of a church is ultimately to change lives for the sake of Christ, which we do by proclaiming the gospel, raising up disciples, and serving the world. Think about it in business terms, as a church we are in the business of changing lives, that is just what we do. As we begin to kick off our stewardship campaign this year we want you to understand that we are not asking for you to give because we want to take your time, your talents and your money for the sake of the church itself. No, the reason we ask and encourage all of you to give more every single year is because we know that the more you give, the more this church will be able to change lives. The more you give the more people we will be able to share Christ with, teach, and serve. So please, in the next couple of months begin to prayerfully consider what it is that God is calling you to do even more of, so that this church can continue to expand its mission of changing even more lives for Christ.

We need people of a variety of talents to get involved in making a real difference by serving the church.
