4 Fund your future. Most Americans are not financially prepared for their future. Studies show that as many as 90 percent of us are not on track to be able to comfortably retire. Too many people have bought into the lie that one day when we have more money we can start planning for the future. That kind of thinking is what ensures retirement never comes. Setting aside $50 one time won t change your financial future. However, setting aside a little bit of money consistently over a long period of time will build great rewards for the future. There s no amount too small to start saving and no better time than now. You may not be a millionaire, lottery winner or stock broker, but that doesn t mean you can t start saving. Daily diligence with what you have can lead to long-term benefit. Jesus has an incredible future planned for us, and when we save what we ve been given, we free ourselves to act on what God wants to bring us in the future. Think About: 1. What three words would you use to describe your feelings about your financial future? 2. Saving doesn t have to mean setting aside large sums of money each month. What one thing can you change to start saving today? 3. How have you seen steady diligence pay off in other areas of your life? Why would the outcome be any different when it comes to money? Pray: Jesus, You knew I would need Your salvation before I was even born. You were with God at the creation of the world and made a way for me to know God before I was a thought in my parents minds. Thank You for being a planner. Help me to be a planner, too To everyone who pledged to support this church with your time, talents, and resources in 2019, Thank You! Know that because of your generosity this congregation is going to continue to proclaim the Gospel Message of Jesus Christ, serve those in need, help people continue to grow in their faith, raise up the next generation of disciples, and play our part in bringing about the salvation and the restoration of the world. This is something we couldn't do without you!

5 This was in response to the $500 FCC gave to St. Francis for Christmas Gifts for the children: Dear Members of First Christian Church, Thank you for your gift! We pray you are encountering the love and goodness of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as you strive to serve the vulnerable in Kansas. Press on in your efforts to love your neighbors and share the Gospel! Merry Christmas! The Global Orphan Project Dear FCCGB, Thank you so much for the money and flowers and for thinking of our family during this time. Your kindness means so much. Sincerely, Alicia Bixby & Family Dear Church Family, Thank your so much for the bonus that you gave me for Christmas! I plan to have as much fun deciding how to use it as I do actually using it! I want to take this opportunity to wish each of you a spectacular New Year! It is my honor and privilege to work with all of you throughout the year. I cannot think of a more awesome family to join alongside in working to bring heaven to earth through our lives every day. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of you. Mary Hunter First Christian Church, Thank you for your $1,000 donation towards the elevator! May you be blessed for blessing others! Kimberly Becker, Director of the Dream Center The Bell Choir and Choir will be hosting what promises to be a very fun evening for Valentine s Day in February! We plan to have both dinner and a show for you! On Sunday evening, February 10th, we will be serving a dinner and having a talent show. You are an important part of this. Not only will you be able to go out for a lovely Valentine s dinner, you are invited to participate in the talent show. Everyone start practicing now - polish up your tap shoes, work on learning lines to your skit, warm up those rusty vocal chords, pull out that talent that you have hidden deep inside yourself No prizes will be given, as this is not a competition, but we promise to love and appreciate your talent offerings! Plan now to join us for an evening of big fun with your friends! More details and sign up opportunities will be coming later. If you have questions, please contact Mary Hunter.
