5 Thank you Thank you! Church family I just want to thank you all for the prayers, cards, visits and acts of kindness during my recent sickness. Your love and thoughtfulness means a lot. She loved her church and prayed for each of you every night before she went to bed. It broke her heart when she no longer could put names and faces together. Luke 2 Challenge The purpose of the Luke 2 challenge is to encourage individuals and families to make the celebration of the Birth of Christ the center of Christmas Day. We will have a Luke 2 challenge sheet for you to sign and place on the alter to commit to worshipping through the reading of God s Word, Luke 2:1-20, and praying before the beginning any Christmas Morning activities. W.O.M: December Dec. 21st at 10:00am, Women on Mission will prepare Home Bound Baskets. Time of Fellowship and reaching out to others. Thanks to all who helped make Christmas Cards for the Prison Ministry. These 500 cards are expected to give a blessing to all those receiving them. New Bible Study We will be offering a Bible study from Dr. David Jeremiah, "Is This The End?" beginning on January 9, We will meet on Tuesdays at 2:00 p.m. The Books are in for this class, please see Gail Acree to get yours. Priscilla Shirer with Tony Evans Live Simulcast April 28, :00 5:00 pm We are looking to host a live simulcast at our church. If interested let Pastor Phillip know. This is a great opportunity for us to reach out to others across Rocky Mount and surrounding cities and invite them to our church. Ladies weekend Priscilla Shirer LIVE July st, 2018 Charleston, SC North Charleston Coliseum Join ladies from across surrounding states to study God s word with Priscilla Shirer in person with Worship being led by her father Tony Evans. The registration starts at $ 59 per person. Cost of hotel is required as well. If interested please sign-up on the bulletin board or let Pastor Phillip know. Church Family A Capital Improvement line item has been approved by the Deacon s. The funds will be used to purchase equipment, replace, or upgrade, to enhance the value of our property. We are thankful that a donation has already been made to this fund. This fund is open to donations at any time.
