Although the best experience would be to attend the retreat in its entirety, it is designed so that if you can only come for parts of the retreat, you will still have an enjoyable experience. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers & Younger) MOPS is a tribe of women from all walks of life that meet to encourage, support, and walk alongside each other through this incredible life of motherhood. COLLEGE FINALS BOXES It will soon be time to send finals boxes to our college students during finals week. Food and monetary donations will be accepted until April 22nd. Parents if you have a child away at college, new or established, please give the church office their name and address, Names submitted will receive a finals box. Thank you! Hey, kids! Do you have a song in your heart that's just waiting to get out? If you do, we have the perfect idea for you! This summer, we will be having a musical celebration just for you. All children from age 3 through 6th grade are invited. We will be meeting at the church in the mornings from 9:00 to 11:00 from June 5th to June 8th. We will sing, play bells, and have a great time praising God all week, then perform at the worship service on Sunday, June 10th. 5 Better planning means better choices. We all know people who are impulsive spenders. As soon as a paycheck comes in, they re out the door to spend everything they ve earned. It s easy to get stuck in the same paycheckto-paycheck lifestyle without any thought of the future. Money can be used to make purchases, pay bills and put food on the table. But when we re spending everything as soon as we get it, we re failing to responsibly steward what God s given us. Part of being a faithful steward of God s money involves how we re saving, not just how we re spending. Saving is about planning for the future. Saving will enable you to support yourself and your family if you lose your job or have an emergency. Saving also provides us the freedom to do whatever God calls us to do. Every time we get income, we should first set aside a portion to bring back to God, then plan to save. When we spend each paycheck with no money set aside, we re enslaving ourselves to our circumstances, leaving no room for God. Think About: 1. What are three examples of ways you spend money impulsively? 2. How can you start saving so you can be prepared for what God has planned for you? Pray: Jesus, help me to exercise self-control in spending so I can be a wise steward of Your money. Save the date! CHRISTIAN CHURCH IN KANSAS REGIONAL SUMMER CAMPING: Registration is now open for the Summer Camps. Forms are available on the board in the Foyer. Remember our church pays 1/2 the cost of one camp. There are also scholarships available for those whom even half is a hard-ship. April is the last month to get the discounted rate. So get those forms in! Our goal is to have as many members as possible trained on the basics of CPR/AED so if something happens in the church or beyond someone will be able to help. (This is not a certification course, it is just to give you the basics. We are planning a CPR certification course for sometime later in the spring.) Come and learn how to save a life!
