People: With joy and thanksgiving we welcome you to share with us in the ministry of Christ, for we are all one in Him. HYMN 306 (11:00) Blest Be the Tie That Binds DENNIS Blest be the tie that binds our hearts in Christian love; the fellowship of kindred minds is like to that above. CALL TO CONFESSION (8:30) Adam DeVries (11:00) Sandra Randleman

2 PRAYER OF CONFESSION Eternal God, we confess again our sins, not to add to Your knowledge of us, but rather to bring to our remembrance that which disturbs our communion with You, and limits our usefulness in the service of Your kingdom. We have been blind to faults in our own lives that we so easily see in others. We have wavered in following You when the path of duty was clearly marked. Too often we have reflected the prejudices of this age rather than the mind of Christ. We have labored and spent our time and resources for that which does not satisfy, and our energies on that which does not nourish our souls. Give to us, O God, the choice gift of a true sense of our own sin, and lead us from confession to penitence to pardon. In Jesus name we make this prayer. Amen. SILENT CONFESSION LORD, HAVE MERCY Kyrie Eleison ASSURANCE OF PARDON *CONGREGATIONAL RESPONSE Gloria Patri Hymn 581 THE WORD PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION Blessed Lord, who caused all holy scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which You have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ. Amen. SCRIPTURE READINGS Old Testament: Psalm 51:1-17, page 520 New Testament: Matthew 18:21-35, page 20 Pastor: The Word of the Lord. People: Thanks be to God. Children ages 4 and 5 are invited to Young Children and Worship in Room CW-110.

3 HYMN OF PREPARATION (seated) Restore in Us, O God SCHUMANN SERMON He Restores My Soul RESPONSE OF THE PEOPLE Todd Jones *AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (8:30) Sam Cooper (11:00) Stuart Gordon The Apostles Creed Hymnal Page 35 COMMISSIONING OF THE YOUTH MISSION TEAM (11:00) Stuart Gordon OFFERTORY (8:30) Aaron Copland Have Mercy on Us, O My Lord Have mercy on us, O my Lord. Be not far from us, O my God. Give ear unto our humble prayer. Attend and judge us in Thy might. Uphold us with Thy guiding hand, restore us to Thy kindly light. Ah, Lord, have mercy. Be not far off, my God. My heart is sorely pained and calls on Thee in vain. Ah, cast me not away from salvation. Then, oh then, we shall trust in Thee, then we will bear our place.

4 (11:00) John Ireland Greater Love Hath No Man Many waters cannot quench Love, neither can the floods drown it. Love is strong as death. Greater Love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Who His own Self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness. Ye are washed, ye are sanctified, ye are justified, in the Name of the Lord Jesus; ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, that ye should shew forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness, into His marvelous light. I beseech you, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies, a living sacrifice, holy, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. *PRESENTATION AND RESPONSE Doxology OLD HUNDREDTH *PRAYER OF DEDICATION (Those to be ordained and/or installed should come to the front.
