Please remain in the pew until the bell is silenced. *Postlude Es ist das Haeil uns kommen her Johann Sebastian Bach World Communion Sunday began in 1936 in the Presbyterian Church and has been on the liturgical calendar of many denominations ever since. We celebrate World Communion Sunday each year on the first Sunday of October. Today, churches of many different denominations in all parts of the world will partake of the Lord s Supper together so that, on this day, the sun will never set on a communion table without people celebrating the Eucharist there. In celebration of the Church s ministry around the world, our hymns and other service music this day are drawn from Africa, Europe, North America, and South America. Welcome to Highland

Children ages 2 5 meet on the third floor following the Time for Young Disciples in Rooms 301 or 306. During both worship services, we also offer a room for Infants & Mothers/Fathers Room 216 Friendly childcare space on the sanctuary level where parents can tend to the needs of their infant and still be able to hear the service. Ages 5 and older Following the Children s Time, these children are encouraged to remain in the sanctuary. Worship activity bags and children s bulletins are available in the Narthex. Between worship services, Highland offers Christian education for all ages. Information about locations can be found on bulletin boards in the second floor hallway and the first floor elevator hallway. You may also ask a deacon or an elder for directions
