Leader: For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who is not partial and takes no bribe. People: God executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving food and clothing. Leader: Love the stranger, therefore; for you were once strangers in the land of Egypt. People: He is your praise; He is your God, Who has done for you these great and terrible things which your eyes have seen. Have mercy upon us, O Lord, for we are ashamed and truly sorry for all that we have done to disappoint and displease You. Forgive us our sins, help us to amend our ways, and to live in Your light, and walk in Your ways, all for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
