1 FELLOWSHIP MESSENGER Dave s Devotional The month of March is really a great month to begin the Church Season of Lent. The season of Lent challenges us to take a break, to put things on hold for a moment, to step back and observe our lives carefully, especially in the spiritual sense. The season challenges us to confront those things and situations that make us less than what even God or we want to become. While the weather during the month of March is often unpredictable, we know that each Lenten season that the life and love of God is reborn just as sure as spring will be upon us very soon. As we enter the wilderness with Christ this Lenten season, let us all rediscover hope and purpose. In doing so, may the light and warmth of God s love in our lives bless us all. We hope you will make plans to join us for the Sacrament of Holy Communion as we begin our Lenten season on Sunday, March 10 th. We hope you will also make plans to join us that afternoon for our Day of Prayer Lovefeast service that begins at 2 PM. With the joy of serving Christ together, The Rev. Dr. David A.
