1 For we are God s servants, working together; you are God s field, God s building. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one that has been laid; that foundation is Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 3: 9, 11. Dear Sisters, Time does move on and so quickly. We are about ten days away from the beginning of Lent, and we might say what happened to Advent and Christmas, We are all busy in the work of our churches and Women s Fellowships. I do want to share with you that the PWB hosted our fourth Valentine Tea for the residents of Salemtowne. We took party food and had a wonderful time, but more importantly the residents enjoyed the celebration with beautiful music and candy treats. Many were dressed in red and were happy to have a place to go and enjoy friends in fellowship. The Season of Lent is a very important time in our Moravian Church. I suggest that you find opportunity in your community to spend time with scripture, special services and friends to contemplate the activities of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ as he went about his ministry to all people, and that these stories give us strength to grow in our spiritual journey. If you are living in the Winston-Salem area, I recommend the Days of Prayer by the churches of Salem Congregation. These worship opportunities begin on Ash Wednesday at Home Church and continue every Wednesday to Holy Week.(See sch. in this newsletter) Christ Church has its Day of Prayer on Sunday, March 5. You will be blessed. Excitement is mounting for the PWB Spiritual Life Retreat. This retreat will be at Laurel Ridge, April 28,29, 30. Sr. Carol Foltz, pastor of Moravia Moravian Church, will be our facilitator with the topic, Vocations for Everyone. This is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and greet old friends. Please register!!! Please be in prayer for our Moravian sisters at home and around the world. We are grateful for the many, many things that are accomplished through our work in the church where we are planted, but we are also aware that some of us are more challenged than others to be a witness. God Bless you this Lenten Season! Mallie Graham, President Page 1 of 7

Our Women s Fellowship will be making beeswax candles the last week in February at the home of Wilson and Kathy Sparks. The candles will be made for use in our Christmas Eve Lovefeast and Candle Service. Macedonia began 2017 with an Intentional Discipleship group that meets on a weekly basis in homes, at restaurants, or at the church. On Ash Wednesday, March 1, our church will start the Lenten Season with a Labyrinth and Ashes service at 7 p.m. in our fellowship hall. Our Lenten program will focus on prayer. Our pastor and Elders will lead that service. Holy Week Readings will be at 7:00 each evening beginning on Palm Sunday. We will have communion on Maundy Thursday and a Lovefeast on Good Friday.
