5 ANNOUNCEMENTS Holy Week at Trinity UMC Palm Sunday Worship April 9th at 8 & 10 AM (Sunday School Children will sing at 10 AM Service) Maundy Thursday Worship-Christian Drama- The Cloth of Jesus April 13, 7 PM Performed by members of TUMC (Sanctuary). Good Friday Worship April 14, 7 PM (Sanctuary). Easter Sunday Worship April 16th, 8 & 10 AM (Easter Breakfast in the Fellowship Hall between services.) Sunday, April 16th after the 8:00 Service Menu: Scrambled eggs, sausage, coffee cakes, potatoes, applesauce, milk, juice and coffee. Tickets will be sold between worship services. Advance sales would be appreciated. Donations of coffee cakes needed. Tickets: $7.00 for Adults $4.00 Kids 5-12 Ages 4 and under free. Throughout the life and ministry and Death of Jesus, there is a brief mention of garments, or hems, or bands of cloth of a curtain, or linen. During the Cloth of Jesus we will read and experience Jesus life, ministry and death by touching, holding and experiencing The Cloth of Jesus. The service will end with Communion open to all at the Lord s Table. Please pick up your reading schedule in the narthex if you would like to participate. There will be an Open Round-Table Discussion with Pastor Rom and the group on the 2 nd Sundays of the month at 9:10

6 Vacation Bible School 2017 June 9th & 10th Attention all upcoming 4K-6 th Grade Children! Info/Forms available on the Sunday School wing bulletin board Register by May 14 th ALL ARE WELCOME! Session 1: Bible Point: God made you. Bible Story: God lovingly creates people. (Psalm 139; Genesis 1:26 2:4) Key Verse: Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! (Psalm 139:14) Today s kids are in the unique position to compare themselves to the entire world. Social media gives us all a mirror to which we compare ourselves, and it can feel like there s always someone who s better, prettier, smarter, more athletic, more adventurous, and just all-around more! That s why the message for Session 1 matters! We ll share with the kids at VBS that they were intentionally, lovingly, carefully crafted by God. Everyone will have the opportunity to set aside the mirror and simply rest in the realization that the same God who created the entire planet also formed their fingers, toes, brain, and being with his skillful hands. Kids will discover that they re one-of-a-kind creations of the most-high God who loves them dearly. We need Children s Time Leaders for the 3 rd Sundays of the month and as substitutes. Pastor Rom and Teresa will help to train and help with ideas for the Children s moment. We just need someone willing to work with the children of our church during the service. If you are interested in learning more about TUMC s new Caring Ministry please contact Kathy Drexler at Dear Trinity Members, We would like to thank Pastor Rom for his visits and very heartfelt prayers while Wayne was in the hospital. We re thankful for all our children and grandchildren s help and also thankful for our amazing church family for all their concerns for us and cards and telephone calls. Also it was a great honor to be chosen as Citizens of the Year and we are grateful to our church family for all their greetings and attendance at the banquet. It all was very much appreciated. A fund for the Heating System has been set up. We have currently raised $48, Trinity Members we still need your financial support to reach our goal. The challenge was for 6 people (or 6 groups of people) to donate $500 each total of $3,000 to the INH Fund by the end of This was achieved so thank-you to the anonymous Member of Trinity United Methodist Church who will donate $1, thanks to the success of these donations.

God s vision for Trinity UMC and how we will accomplish the UM Mission is purposefully simple: Love (both God & people; Matthew 22:37-38 & 39-40) Grow (intentionally; Ephesians 3:17; 2 Peter 1:2) Serve (just like Jesus did; Matthew 20:26b-28) These three simple phrases help us stay focused on what is really important LOVE, GROW, and SERVE.
