Thank you. The Council voted to approve funds to renovate the senior pastor s office. The Trustees have received bids for the carpet and window coverings, but if possible we d like to have help from the congregation and set a work day. If you have interest in helping, please contact Pastor Aaron at pastora@goldfieldaccess.net or LWML MISSION NOTES: For DECEMBER we are collecting monetary donations and gift cards for Mission Central in Mapleton, Iowa. They can use gift cards from Hy-Vee, Wal-Mart, Fareway, and Menards. They use the cards to purchase inventory items and perishable items that are needed to support our mission team there. If you prefer to donate money toward the gift cards, please put your donation in an envelope marked Mission Central and leave it in the church office. Mission Central provides support for worldwide missionary work of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. In addition to monetary support, they ask for prayers for our missionaries in the mission field. We also ask that you think and pray for Pastor Carl Hanson and family in Hong Kong, which our church supports through Mission Central. Please do not use the 2017 envelopes until next Sunday, January 1 st this will help the counters keep envelopes and offerings in the proper year. LWML has new CARDS for sale! We have Christmas, Baby, Sympathy, Wedding, Anniversary, Birthday, Get Well, Etc. Individual cards are $1.00 and the price for boxed cards is listed on the back of the box. Check out the cards on the cart and table in the Narthex. JR. LYC Scrip Program: Orders are taken for Scrip Cards the 1 st and 3 rd Sunday of the month. By buying groceries or gas, or giving them as gifts you support the Jr. LYC. The following cards allow Jr. LYC to make a reasonable profit: 1- Fareway 3 percent back 2- Hy-Vee 5 percent back 3- Casey s 3 percent back The 30 th Annual Faith United Methodist Church Christmas Tree Walk is open through next Sunday, New Year s Day. Zion Preschool has decorated a tree for the Tree Walk. Tree Walk hours are 8:00 a.m.-8:30 p.m. on week days and noon-8:30 p.m. on weekends.

4 STAMPS FOR MISSIONS: LWML can no longer accept common stamps as there is no demand for them. The ones that can be sold are commemorative stamps, foreign stamps, high value (over 49 cents) stamps, hunting and conservation stamps and stamps with plate numbers. Any other stamp that is unusual is probably collectable and can be sold. ALL STAMPS MUST BE AS PERFECT AS POSSIBLE. Only stamps on paper and trimmed to 1/4 inch all around can be sold. LWML will NO longer be collecting Greeting Card Front Covers. We have been told they don t need any more. Thanks for supporting this mission. Tax credits are available now but other STOs have filled their credits so the closer you donate to the deadline please call to make sure credits are available.
