1 D e c e m b e r A Newsletter for Members and Friends of Redeemer Lutheran Church 1700 West Fair Avenue, Marquette, Michigan Redeemer s Mission...inviting all people to become students, believers and followers of Jesus Christ. New Christmas Series Original Christmas Playlist Christmas Worship Schedule Wednesday, December 5th 6:00 pm Advent Dinner 7:00 pm Advent Worship Saturday/Sunday December 22, 23 Regular Weekend Schedule One of things we love most about Christmas is the music. Whether it s standing in line at Target or listening to the radio on the way home from work, the music we hear reminds us that there is something unique about this time of year. When the Bible tells the Christmas story, it tells it through song. From Jesus conception in the womb to his dedication at the temple, every scene is filled with music and with wonder. And each song helps us discover something different, something important about the coming of this Child. In this series, the original Christmas Playlist, we will take a closer look at some of the sacred songs. What do they have to teach us about the very first Christmas, and it s place the bigger story of the Bible? Topics: 1. Mary s Song. Anticipation. Luke 1: Zechariah s Song. Fulfillment. Luke 1: Angel s Song. Joy/peace on earth. Luke 2:13, 14 Christmas Eve Worship Monday, December 24th (Choose Which Service Best Suits Your Family) 3:00 pm Contemporary Family Service Music Led by Praise Team ~ A Contemporary Blend of Familiar and New Christmas Carols ~ Children s Message ~ Glow-sticks for Young Children ~ Candlelight ~ Children s Message ~ Nursery Care Provided ~ Informal Atmosphere. 5:00 pm Candlelight Carols and Choir Organ-led Traditional Carols ~ Candlelight ~ Children s Message ~ Jubilation Choir ~ Nursery Care Provided ~ Traditional Family Atmosphere. 7:00 pm Candlelight Carols and Choir Organ-led Traditional Carols ~ Candlelight ~ Children s Message ~ Praise Choir ~ Nursery Care Provided ~ Traditional Family Atmosphere. 9:00 pm Processional with Communion Processional/ Recessional ~ Organ-led Traditional Carols ~ Candlelight ~ Gospel Processional ~ Traditional Formal Atmosphere.
