1 NEWS FROM the PEWS J A N U A R Y V o l u m e 2 2 I s s u e 1 Then the one seated on the throne said, Look! I m making all things new. He also said, Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true. Revelation 21:5 My life has certainly been stress-filled the latter part of I moved, lost a grandchild, and lost my soul mate and spouse all with in a 5 month period. It has been a tough time, especially being new to a church and surrounding community. There have been times when I have wondered what God is intending me to learn through this season of my life. At other times I have felt like Job. I have been open and honest about my struggles during this time. I have shared how at times God seems far away and at others right there beside me. I know with all my heart, mind, and soul that I will see Jackie and Everly again in their resurrection bodies one day. God is always with us even during our journeys through the dark valleys. And he takes even the bad and makes it good for us. In the scripture above he says Look, I am making all things new. What a wonderful statement. Of course, he makes us new every time he forgives us. He takes each situation and uses it for an opportunity to reach us and make us a better Christian. As we start 2019, my prayer is that God will indeed, make all things new. I pray that we will listen. And I pray that God s kingdom will increase because of it. Come join us as we let God use us in wonderful ways to reach others for him. Be like a caterpillar and turn into a beautiful butterfly. Become something new, and then spread that beauty for all to see. God s peace, Pastor Randy WEEKLY WORSHIP SCHEDULE: Saturday Night Casual Service: 5:00 PM Sunday Morning Traditional Service: 8:30 AM Sunday School: 9:30 AM Sunday Morning Contemporary Service: 10:35 AM Rushville FUMC Youth Group Schedule: 4:30pm-6:00pm Senior High Youth 2nd & 4th Sundays-6:00pm MOBILE MEAL SCHEDULE: Jan. 1st - 4th 1.
