Hosanna! Hosanna to the Son of David! We emerge this week from our wilderness wanderings and find ourselves caught up in a parade, a party, a procession of palms! It has been a long journey to arrive at the gates of Jerusalem where Jesus will make his grand entry into the heart of political power and religious authority. We celebrate today, as Jesus followers did long ago, the peace and salvation that Jesus claims for the world. We are blessed today to be led in this celebration through a Worship Presentation by our Chancel Choir The Day He Wore My Crown. Welcome to our Palm Sunday worship service! Our hearts are filled with expectation as we welcome the coming king. Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! We receive into the crowded streets of our lives the one who is Savior, not only of us, but of all the earth. Hosanna! 4 April Mission MEMORIALS RECEIVED First quarter of 2019 Financial struggles have hit Pickens County Humane Society (PCHS). As they carry on with normal business throughout the year, donations decrease, and expenses continue to grow, therefore, funds are quickly depleted. St. Andrew believes in the program and the services they provide. PCHS will not be able to continue to provide the services and continue the care for the animals, if they do not have the operational costs for The ability to make a difference in each pet that comes through the program and each family that adopts will no longer be possible. The temporary home PCHS provides to some 700-1,000 pets per year will no longer exist. Roxie, the permanent resident will lose her fur-ever home. The goals of enhancing their programs, growing their services and establishing a mobile, low cost spay/ neuter/ vaccine clinic will not be made a reality. Unfortunately, finances determine the fate of their future. And, the lack of funds will force them to close their doors. At this time PCHS is still accepting a certain number of animals into the program, however, they will not fill all space due to the unknown operational future. They will continue to provide adoptions. The question is, Is there any hope? The answer is YES! What can you do? DONATE! Share the need.
