Great work was.1 by the rlnl n keepng n skatng rnk on Lake Andrews cleared of s ow nl wnter long; and when on sders the amount of snow that fell one must con elude Hnt that task alone merts much prase. The brllant lghtng facltes on tn rnk every evenng were not only apprecated by the skaters, but the scenc effect was admred by every \stor on the campus and was a source of prde to tn- college tself. A tobog gan slde was bult on Mt. Davd whch provded exhlaratng sport for many. Bnowshoes were bought by the nt. for the use of the members. All mem hers of the dull were admtted free to the college hoekey games. The elub naugurated : hke to Mt. Washngton, whch, smnll as t was compared wth those of Dartmouth, was more than apprecated by those who took advantage of the opportunty. Last year was a begnnng under dffcultes. BASKET BALL SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED Openng Game At Cty Hall December 18 Drector smth has announced the tal schedule n Hat.s College Basket ball. Many of th leges repres nted ae famlar to Hates fans n other branches of athletcs. Although the Unversty of Mane s the only other state eollege represented on the boards ths wnter the two games arranged wth our upstate rvals wll no doubt arouse some of the old tme lghtng sprt among the athletes and remnd the fans that the two colleges are not snowbound. The openng game s to be played at l.ew-ton Cty Hall, Bee. 18 wth the Portland A. C. Oswald Tower hns been secured to offcate at ths game. Mr. Tower s an edtor of one of the standard rule books, an authorty on basketball, and an exponent of clean, fast playng, wth an accent on speed.
