8 Abstract This study aims t analyse the nature and characteristics f news reprting f the January 25th revlutin in Egypt by tw Palestinian newspapers: Felesteen and Al-Hayat Al-Jadeeda. Data will be analysed quantitatively and qualitatively. Als, the study is interested in investigating the extent f the tw newspapers interest in cvering the events in Egypt, and the affecting factrs. Mrever, the study aims at disclsing the key issues that have received the interest f the newspapers and the type f discurse adpted by bth f them. The study highlights the influence caused by idelgical backgrunds f the tw newspapers n their wrk, taking int accunt that Al-Hayat Al- Jadeeda newspaper is issued in Ramallah and is clse t Fatah mvement, while Felesteen newspaper is issued in Gaza and is clse t Hamas mvement The study cmpares and cntrasts the ways the tw newspapers wrk based n Agenda-setting thery The study is descriptive, and it uses surveys. The fllwing methds are used: cntent analysis, discurse analysis, mutual relatins - where cmparisn and cntrast methd is used. The data was cllected thrugh tw means, namely: cntent analysis questinnaire and discurse analysis questinnaire The researcher has cnducted a survey fr the previus studies in the same field. The researcher culd find 34 studies which helped in frmulating the tpic and designing discurse analysis and cntent analysis questinnaires, as well as in discussing the findings f this study The study is divided int an intrductin which includes the methdlgy f the study, and five chapters. The first chapter is titled: Theretical framewrk. The secnd chapter is titled: Media and the January 25th Revlutin in Egypt. The third chapter is titled: The general features f the issues f January 25th Revlutin. The furth chapter is titled: News reprting fr the January 25th Revlutin by the newspapers in questin. The fifth chapter discusses the findings f the study and recmmendatins ح

9 Regarding the mst imprtant results f analysing the cntent f the study, the issue f siege f the Gaza Strip has gt the highest percentage amng the 25th January Revlutin in Felesteen newspaper, while the issue f electins has gt the highest percentage in Al-Hayat Al-Jadeeda newspaper The study reveals that Felesteen newspaper is mre interested in the issues f the January 25th Revlutin than Al-Hayat Al-Jadeeda newspaper with percentages f 0.39% and 0.11% respectively Felesteen newspaper cverage seems psitive twards the issues f the Egyptian Revlutin with a percentage f 86%, while Al-Hayat Al- Jadeeda newspaper cverage balances between the psitive aspects f the Revlutin and the negative and neutral aspects The findings f discurse analysis reveal that pr ecnmic, scial and plitical cnditins were the main causes f the Egyptian Revlutin accrding t the newspapers in questin. Hwever, true and fair plitical participatin aspect has gt the highest percentage in slutins. Within the framewrk f results f the Revlutin, the aspect f cmpleting the Revlutin has gt the highest percentage in Felesteen newspaper. The aspect f failure f the Revlutin has gt the highest percentage in the Al-Hayat Al-Jadeeda newspaper The psitive rles f the Muslim Brtherhd, the elected president Mhamed Mrsi, and the gvernment f the Gaza Strip in Felesteen newspaper gt 100%. In the same newspaper, the negative rles f the usted president Mubarak, Israel and the Palestinian Authrity gt a high percentage. On the ther hand, the negative rles f Muslim Brtherhd, Mhamed Mrsi, and the United States gt 100%, cmpared t the high percentage f psitive rles f the Military Cuncil in Egypt ط
