Surah Ta Ha 123: ( ق ال ٱه ب ط ا م ن ه ا ج م يع ا ب ع ض ك م ل ب ع ض ع د و ف إ م ا ي أت ي ن ڪ م م ن ى ه د ى ف م ن ٱت ب ع ه د اى ف ل ي ض ل و ل ي ش ق ى ) (He said: G dwn hence, bth f yu, ne f yu a fe unt the ther. But if there cme unt yu frm Me a guidance, then whs fllweth My guidance, he will nt g astray nr cme t grief.) When Allah (جل جلاله) brught dwn Adam (as) t earth, He sent dwn guidance t the earth fr him t fllw. Whever fllws Allah s guidance then he will nt be misguided and he will nt be miserable thus he will be guided and happy. Surah Ta Ha 1-2: طه ) ١ ( م ا أ نز ل ن ا ع ل ي ك ٱل ق ر ء ان ل ت ش ق ى ) ٢ ( Ta - Ha [These letters are ne f the miracles f the Qur'ân, and nne but Allâh (Alne) knws their meanings.] (1) We have nt sent dwn the Qur'ân unt yu (O Muhammad (ﷺ t cause yu distress, (2) If a persn wants t find happiness then he needs t fllw the Quran. A persn will nt be distressed when he fllws the Quran. Why will we be happy? Because happiness is in Allah s Hands. Whever is seeking happiness in anther way then he will be upset, in cntinuus pain, and wasting his time and life withut benefit. The way t happiness is nly ne way the way f beying Allah (جل جلاله) and fllwing what He likes and lves. Peple are taking different ways and nt fllwing the Quran thus they re in distress because they re nt fllwing what Allah (جل جلاله) wants frm them. Surah An Najm 43: ( و أ ن ه ه و أ ض ح ك و أ ب ك ى ) (And that it is He (Allâh) Wh makes (whm He wills) laugh, and makes (whm He wills) weep) Allah (جل جلاله) is the One Wh brings frth the causes f laughing and crying and it cmes accrding t His wisdm, subhan Allah. When yu see yurself laughing, yu have t knw it s frm Allah and when yu see yurself weeping, yu have t knw it s frm Allah.(جل جلاله) Our happiness is in Allah s Hands s we shuld seek it frm Him and in the crrect way. ق ل ٱلل ه م م ل ك ٱل م ل ك ت ؤ ت ى ٱل م ل ك م ن ت ش ا ء و ت نز ع ٱل م ل ك م م ن ت ش ا ء و ت ع ز م ن ت ش ا ء و ت ذ ل م ن ت ش ا ء ب ي د ك ٱل خ ي ر إ ن ك ع ل ى ك ل ( :26 Surah Al Imran "O Allâh! Pssessr f the kingdm, Yu give the kingdm t whm Yu will, and :(ﷺ (Say (O Muhammad ) ش ى ء ق د ير Yu take the kingdm frm whm Yu will, and Yu endue with hnur whm Yu will, and Yu humiliate whm Yu will. In Yur Hand is the gd. Verily, Yu are Able t d all things) The fundatin and the crnerstne f ur happiness is belief in Allah (جل جلاله) t believe He s the One Wh creates, prvides, dispses, He gives and withhlds, cnstricts and expands. When yu believe He is yur Lrd then yu will wrship Him alne and everything is happening by His decree. This mtivates the persn t d gd deeds. Page 1

Ibn Al Qayyim may Allah have mercy n him said the indicatin f a guided believer is in three matters: (جل جلاله) When he cmmits sins, he seeks frgiveness frm Allah (جل جلاله) When he receives a blessing, he s grateful t Allah When he s afflicted, he s patient This is the behavir f the believer his whle life. When is the happy hur f the believer? When they learn abut Allah,(جل جلاله) they re grateful t Him. When they gd deeds, they re happy. On a side nte: Wh is the gd cmpanin? The gd cmpanin is the ne wh benefits yu and yu benefit them. When yu frget, they remind yu. They will nt lk at yur faults, r backbite yu. They are the nes wh advise yu. The gd cmpanin will nt waste yur time.,(ﷺ) When is the happy week f the believer? Friday is the best day, he will send blessings upn the Prphet he will invke Allah (جل جلاله) in the answered hur. When is the happiness f the believer in the mnth? When he finishes reciting the Quran in the mnth. The Cmpanins used t recite ne juz and cmplete the Quran in ne mnth. When is the happiness f the believer in a year? T fast Ramadan with faith while hping fr the reward. Whatever we d, Allah (جل جلاله) is appreciative and He will give us the full reward. Surah An Nahl :97 ( م ن ع م ل ص ل ح ا م ن ذ ڪ ر أ و أ نث ى و ه و م ؤ م ن ف ل ن ح ي ي ن ه ح ي وة ط ي ب ة و ل ن ج ز ي ن ه م أ ج ر ه م ب أ ح س ن م ا ڪ ان وا ي ع م ل ون ) (Whever wrks righteusness, whether male r female, while he (r she) is a true believer (f Islâmic Mntheism) verily, t him We will give a gd life (in this wrld with respect, cntentment and lawful prvisin), and We shall pay them certainly a reward in prprtin t the best f what they used t d (i.e. Paradise in the Hereafter)) Whever is a guided believer and des gd deeds then Allah (جل جلاله) will give him a gd life. The ideal persn is nt the mst elegant, intelligent, beautiful r handsme. The ideal persn is the guided believer. Allah (جل جلاله) didn t create us t be the mst fashinable r mst beautiful. Happiness is in ding what pleases Allah It s required fr us t purify ur hearts. Whenever we discver any defect r bad character in ur hearts.(جل جلاله) then immediately we need t purify ur hearts. The purified persn is the ne wh s nly thinking f Allah s pleasure. He s thinking f hw t attain Allah s pleasure, lve and paradise. This is the persn whse heart is pure. The ne whse heart is nt pure then his cncern is the peple. The ne wh s pure nly thinks f hw.(جل جلاله) t please Allah Causes f mental disturbance Many peple are living unhappily in this life, they re suffering frm mental disturbances. If they face a situatin where they dn t get what they want, they becme upset and angry. Tday we will talk abut cmpanins such as spuses, friends, families, siblings, wh can be a cause fr ur mental disturbance, hw? Because f cmparisn and cmpetitin. A persn is always lking at what thers have. He s always cmparing himself against his cmpanins, this leads t jealusy, hatred, defaming, backbiting, and it grws. A persn stps accepting criticism until it leads t cutting the relatin, astaghfar Allah. Page 2

The first step begins with cmparisn, then it becmes jealusy, then it grws t hatred and cutting the relatin. ع ن أ ب ي ه ر ير ة ق ال ق ال ر س ول للا صلى للا عليه وسلم " إ ي اك م و الظ ن ف إ ن الظ ن أ كذ ب الح د يث و ل ت ح س س وا و ل ت ج س س وا و ل ت ب اغ ض وا ( Hadith: said, 'Beware f suspicin, fr it is the wrst f false tales and (ﷺ) (Allah's Messenger (و ل ت د اب ر وا و ك ون وا ع ب اد للا إ خو انا ". dn't lk fr the ther's faults and dn't spy and dn't hate each ther, and dn't desert (cut yur relatins with) ne anther O Allah's slaves, be brthers!") - Sahih al-bukhari 6724 Beware f suspicin, a persn will start t suspect anther based n uncertain infrmatin and it will lead t saying lies. Even if a persn has true infrmatin abut the ther, he shuldn t suspect him because it will lead t lead t false speech. Rather a persn shuld be guiding and advising him. If a persn desn t stp himself frm suspecting, then it will lead t spying. Spying means the persn will be lking at the faults and defects f the peple and it will lead t backbiting. And (ت ح س س وا) means t ask thers r send thers t find ut the faults f the thers. It will then lead t jealusy. Thse wh are wealthy and knwledgeable are envius f each ther. Even in the study circles, yu will find tw sisters wh were tgether and as they are increasing in knwledge, they start t cmpare wh gt what, hw much did she memrize?. The Prphet (ﷺ) then said d nt hate each ther and dn t give each ther s back, meaning dn t cut the relatin. What is the name f Allah (جل جلاله) which can remedy this? Allah Ar Razaq: Allah Ar Razaq is the Only Prvider and Sustainer fr all f His creatin. He gives t everyne whether they believe in Him r nt. He can give anything which can be utilized, whether it s halal r haram, s even unlawful earning is rizq because it s utilized, subhan Allah. Allah s prvisin t His servants is tw kinds: General rizq: prvisin fr the bdies such as fd, drink and He gives this t all the creatin human, jinn, animals, believers and disbelievers Special rizq: prvisin which Allah (جل جلاله) nly gives t the believers. It is the prvisin f the hearts. When Allah (جل جلاله) nurishes the hearts with knwledge and faith, then this is a special prvisin frm Allah.(جل جلاله) This is fr the believers and it s apprtined accrding t their level f faith and accrding t His wisdm. Allah (جل جلاله) knws Wh deserves mre r little f the special prvisin. This means ur cncern shuld nt be the general rizq, but the special rizq. It s nt imprtant t have abundant wrldly prvisin, but a persn shuld ask fr blessing in his rizq. What des it mean t have blessed prvisin? Permanent, cntinuus and grwing prvisin. May Allah (جل جلاله) put barakah in all ur rizq. Ameen. T be at rest in yur heart as a result f yur belief in Allah (جل جلاله) and Last Day is the best and greatest rizq. May Allah (جل جلاله) grant us. Ameen. T be happy, cntent and at peace even if yu have little prvisin shws believe in Allah Ar Razaq, and nt the persn wh s greedy and nt satisfied, this is nt the believer f the name f Allah Ar Razaq. ق ل م ن ي ر ز ق ك م م ن ٱلس م ا ء و ٱ ل ر ض أ م ن ي م ل ك ٱلس م ع و ٱ ل ب ص ر و م ن ي خ ر ج ٱل ح ى م ن ٱل م ي ت و ي خ ر ج ٱل م ي ت م ن ٱل ح ى و م ن ي د ب ر ( :31 Surah Yunus "Wh prvides fr yu frm the sky and the earth? Or wh :(ﷺ (Say (O Muhammad ) ٱ ل م ر ف س ي ق ول ون ٱ لل ف ق ل أ ف ل ت ت ق ون Page 3

They will say: "Allâh." Say: "Will yu nt then be afraid f Allâh's Punishment (fr setting up rivals in wrship with Allâh)?") Allah (جل جلاله) is Ar Razaq and He distributes rizq amng the peple and it s based n His wisdm and knwledge. Sme are rich and sme are pr, but bear in mind that abundant rizq is nt an indicatin f Allah s lve t that persn r hnr fr him. Pverty desn t mean Allah (جل جلاله) hates the persn. Richness and pverty are tests frm Allah,(جل جلاله) t test wh is grateful and wh s nt, wh s cntent and wh s nt, wh will ask Allah (جل جلاله) fr the barakah and wh will be greedy? All f us knw Allah (جل جلاله) is Ar Razaq but mst f us fail in wrshipping Allah Ar Razaq, subhan Allah. If we accunt the peple and say, hw cme he gets mre? this indicates lack f belief in Allah s name f Ar Razaq. If a persn is truthful in Allah s belief in Ar Razaq, a persn will nt say, hw cme they greet her and nt me? Hw cme they smile t her and nt me?. A greeting, a smile, and gift are all rizq frm Allah.(جل جلاله) Rizq is nt nly mney, even giving attentin t smene is rizq frm Allah.(جل جلاله) There are peple begging fr thers lve, if it s written fr yu then yu ll get it, dn t disgrace and humiliate yurself. When a persn is in the wmb fr 120 days, Allah (جل جلاله) will send an angel t write all the rizq fr him. A persn will nt get mre r less and he will nt die until he gets all f his rizq. Smene might say, why shuld I act if everything is written?. D yu knw what s written fr yu? N. Everyne will be guided accrding t what he s ding. If yu take gd actin then yu ll be guided t paradise, but if a persn takes bad actin then he s the lser. Sme peple are envius f thers fr example if tw sisters live tgether, ne will wake up fr the night prayer and she will be happy she wke up and nt her friend. This is envy. If she wke her up, she will be rewarded fr it. Or ne wh attends a lecture and her friend missed it, s she tells her yu missed a great lecture, this shws she thinks she s better than her. Grudges can happen as result f envy, cmparisn, r smene wrnging them. And the persn stills bears that resentment against the persn, fr example she embarrassed me, she ffended me, and she s nt frgetting this because the shaitan makes her remember. She s planning, if I get the chance, I will say this t her. If a persn is always busy with this grudge, he will nt even think f ding gd. We have t be careful f.(جل جلاله) these sicknesses in the heart because it causes a persn t be a lser with Allah A grup might send a hadith and ne says it s weak, it s nt authentic s the sister thinks she s being disrespected thugh she s nt thankful t Allah (جل جلاله) that he s guiding her, subhan Allah. Mst f the peple s prblems is because f s and s, always cmplaining abut peple and hw they treat them. We shuld nt be cncerned abut the peple, but we shuld be cncerned abut des Allah lve me r nt, is Allah pleased with me r nt?. A persn shuldn t beg fr the peple s lve and attentin. Allah (جل جلاله) is testing us with passing r failing and what s after passing and failing? Paradise and hellfire, subhan Allah. Ibn Tayymiyah, may Allah have mercy n him said, happiness in dealing with peple is: Hping fr the reward frm Allah (جل جلاله) and nt the peple Fear Allah (جل جلاله) and nt the peple Page 4

D gd t the husband fr the sake f Allah (جل جلاله) and nt fr the sake f husband t lve yu. Wmen can be very ungrateful and the Prphet (ﷺ) said they are the mst f the dwellers f the hellfire as a result f their ingratitude. Their husband is gd t them always and if ne bad thing happens as a test fr her frm Allah,(جل جلاله) she says, what kind f husband are yu?. Or there are thse wh will leave a center because f ne persn, r ne teacher, then where is the gratitude fr the knwledge t increase ne s faith? Subhan Allah. Keep away frm ppressing and wrnging thers ut f fear f Allah (جل جلاله) and nt them Dn t d any act f wrship r nearness fr the sake f the peple r their praise and dn t be.(جل جلاله) afraid f their dispraise. D a wrship nly fr Allah Secnd Part f Lecture: Manners f Asking It s nt frbidden t ask questins in Islam, but there are types f questins we can ask and types we cannt. Frbidden Questins regarding wrldly matters: T nt ask the peple abut their private affairs. We re nt suppsed t ask the wife, hw is yur husband with yu? Des he spend n yu? Hw des he treat yu?, these questins will nt increase in faith r knwledge. Hadith: ( ع ن أ ب ي ه ر ير ة ق ال ق ال ر س ول للا صلى للا عليه وسلم " م ن ح سن إ سل م الم رء ت رك ه م ا ل ي عن يه ") (Abu Hurairah narrated that the Messenger f Allah (ﷺ) said: "Indeed amng the excellence f a persn's Islam is that he leaves what des nt cncern him.") - Jami` at-tirmidhi 2317 If a persn is wrking in a high psitin and rank, thers cannt ask him what was decided? Etc. Questins we shuldn t ask t much Fr example a persn is taught hw t perfrm umrah r wudhu and a persn asks, what if this happens?. This persn is dealing with Allah (جل جلاله) with bad thughts, he s nt expecting gd. There was a man wh asked anther what shuld a persn d if he sees his wife in bed with anther man?. The ther man said I dn t knw. And the ther man asked the Prphet (ﷺ) and the Prphet (ﷺ) disliked that questin and didn t answer. When the ther man went back, he tld him what happened, s the man himself went t the Prphet (ﷺ) and asked him. As a result, this man was afflicted with his wife in bed with anther man, subhan Allah. The ayat in Surah An Nr were revealed as a result f this. T ask n behalf f thers. Fr example yur neighbr gave birth and yu g t a sheikh and ask, what is the ruling fr her prayer?. She shuld be the ne t ask the sheikh. T ask peple abut thers private affairs excessively and embarrass them with yur questins. When yu ask smene hw are yu? and they say alhamdulilah, then it s enugh. We shuldn t say, but yu lk tired, yu lk dwn, etc. It s nt gd manners t ask peple abut their affairs. May Allah (جل جلاله) make us all happy by knwing Him. Ameen. Page 5
