It meets on Monday evenings from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM from September through May. It has wonderful catechists who share the stories, the traditions, and the food of our sacramental life with the children. Registration forms for Faith First have been mailed to all parents. If you have not received these forms, we have included them in this bulletin. Registrations should be mailed back or placed in the collection basket by September 4. Children should be registered before the first session of Faith First, which will be held on Monday, September 10 at 6:00 PM. Clearances are required. Sign-ups are available for individual games! CLEARANCE SESSIONS FOR VOLUNTEERS (VIRTUS & MANDATED REPORTER) All parish volunteers are required by law to obtain clearances to participate in any ministry at Mt. St. Peter Parish. For those who need the VIRTUS Clearance and/or the Mandated Reporter Clearance, St. Margaret Mary Parish is offering both clearances on Saturday, September 8 at 10:00 AM in the Sullivan Room. The courses will take a few hours so they are providing a light lunch for all participants. The courses should be over no later than 2:00 PM. You are requested to RSVP by calling the St. Margaret Mary Parish Office at so they may prepare accordingly. Thank you for all that you do for the mission of the Church. Together we can do all that is possible to protect God s children. ADDOLORATA SOCIETY The members of the Addolorata Society will celebrate the feast day of their namesake, Our Lady of Sorrows, on Sunday, September 16. All members are invited to sit together at the 10:30 AM Mass. The meeting and luncheon will follow at noon at Hill Crest Country Club. Sr. Barbara Einloth from the Sisters of Charity s Sister Speakers will present a program on Welcoming the Stranger. Members: Please note that the phone tree will be activated shortly. Please make your reservations then. There are no tickets for this fall meeting. All reservations must be made by September 10. Even though there is no charge for the meal, no one will be admitted without a reservation. In addition, we are seeking interested parishioners who would like to attend the meeting to hear Sr. Barabara speak and to learn more about the Addolorata Society. ALL MEN OF MT. ST. PETER PARISH The Holy Name Society will have a social meeting at the Knead Community Café on Monday, September 17 at 6:30 PM. We intend to start having regular meetings of the entire body of our Society. Plan to attend and bring a friend. Pizza, wings, and refreshments will be served. We will be cooking and serving the breakfast in Marble Hall for the Celebration of Women after the 10:30 AM Mass on Sunday, September 30. UPCOMING BEREAVEMENT PROGRAM The 6-week Spring Bereavement Program begins on Tuesday, September 18 at 6:30 PM in the Marble Hall. If you have lost a loved one in the past year, you, as well as other family members and friends, are welcome to come to learn about the different stages of grief and how to find peace and healing as you make this difficult journey.
