2 *Affirmation of Faith Apostle s Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there he will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church*, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Carolina PCA Philosophy of Worship: At Carolina Presbyterian Church, we desire to worship God in a manner that is both glorifying to God and edifying to our congregation. To glorify God, we seek to worship him with excellence, with an attitude of reverence (considering God s holiness) and celebration (considering God s grace), with a Christcentered focus rooted in reformed theology and founded on the word of God. To edify our congregation, we seek to worship God with some stylistic variation that reflects some of the preferences of our multi-generational church and community. Carolina Women s Bible Study Women of Carolina Our next bible study is scheduled for Friday, August 11th. We will meet at 9:30am at the home of Julie Svenson: 210 Abigail Lane, Locust, NC. Carolina Women s Retreat Cancelled. Due to a lack of interest at this time, the Women s Retreat (Oct. 6-8, 2017) has been cancelled. We will be planning smaller outings throughout the year for us to fellowship and our hope is to revisit the Women s Retreat in Deposit refunds are available; please see the church office. Carolina Preschool Enrollment Availability Carolina Preschool has 6 open spots available in the 4-Year Old classrooms.
