Why do we worship the way we do at Carolina? That's a great question! Each church is different in it's style, song selection, and order of service. At Carolina Presbyterian Church, our goal is to do everything in worship in a manner that glorifies God and edifies our congregation. The elders, in conjunction with the deacons and worship committee, have spent many months over the last year praying about what worship should look like at Carolina. Below is a philosophy of worship statement, formed by our church leaders. What you will find below shouldn't be new or shocking to anyone who's been here for a while: it's actually what we've already been doing for most of the last year. However, we thought it would be helpful to put into words what we are trying to accomplish, for the sake of good communication. As always, please come and talk with any church leader if you have questions about this. We are thrilled to join with you in the worship of our Lord together! Carolina PCA Philosophy of Worship: At Carolina Presbyterian Church, we desire to worship God in a manner that is both glorifying to God and edifying to our congregation. To glorify God, we seek to worship him with excellence, with an attitude of reverence (considering God s holiness) and celebration (considering God s grace), with a Christcentered focus rooted in reformed theology and founded on the word of God. To edify our congregation, we seek to worship God with some stylistic variation that reflects some of the preferences of our multi-generational church and community. We seek to employ these different styles in a way that promotes love and unity within the same worship service. Fellowship Luncheon Today! (4/30) You are invited to join us today for our Fellowship Luncheon. We will meet immediately following the morning service in the Fellowship Hall. Please bring a dish to share. All are welcome!

National Day of Prayer May 4th Please join us on Thursday, May 4th - the National Day of Prayer - as we gather at Locust Town Center Government Building at 12 noon. We will have 9 prayer speakers, the ROTC of West Stanly performing along with special music. This special event will last only 40 minutes as we pray for our great country and our leaders. New! Inquirer s Class When: Begins, May 7th and will run for 5 weeks during the Sunday School hour. Teachers: Pastor Yoran and Trent Thomas Mexico Mission Trip VBS Supplies The Mexico mission team will be ministering to over 350 children this summer through VBS. We need a little help with a few items: 300 Pairs of Blunt Safety Scissors Ziploc Sandwich Baggies (they need to seal) If you are able to help, there will be a donation box located in the hallway near the church office.
