Extol him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord! *Hymn of Approach - No. 173 Victory in Jesus I heard an old, old story, how a Savior came from glory, how He gave His life on Calvary to save a wretch like me. I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood's atoning, then I repented of my sins and won the victory. O victory in Jesus, my Savior forever! He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood. He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him. He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood. I heard about His healing, of His cleansing power revealing, how He made the lame to walk again and caused the blind to see. And then I cried, "Dear Jesus, come and heal my broken spirit," and somehow Jesus came and brought to me the victory. O victory in Jesus, my Savior forever! He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood. He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him. He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood. (Next Page)

2 I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory, and I heard about the streets of gold beyond the crystal sea; about the angels singing, and the old redemption story; and some sweet day I'll sing up there the song of victory. Prayer of Adoration and Confession Assurance of Pardon (see 2 Timothy 1:13) Psalm 103:8-12 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. We will meet at the home of Julie Svenson and childcare will be provided. We will be discussing chapter 4 of "The Counterfeit Gods" by Timothy Keller. Men s Bible Study Saturday, October 10th at 7:30am The Men's Breakfast and Bible Study will meet Saturday, October 10th in the Family Life Center Dining Hall. Dave and Judy will be leaving Papua New Guinea tomorrow and should arrive in Charlotte on Tuesday evening. Dave s oncologist moved so they will have to find a new one when they get back. Please pray for safety as they travel and for wisdom as they search for a new oncologist.
