4 MORE THAN A NAME FEATURE MEMBERSHIP MINISTRIES Grace Church welcomed the following group of new members with the RIGHT HAND OF FELLOWSHIP in APRIL. Each of these individuals completed the membership class in fulfillment of Grace Church s membership requirements. It s easy to dismiss these names as just another list that isn t particularly relevant to you. But we challenge you to look deeper. Every name listed at right represents someone created in God s image, redeemed by Christ, and placed into His body. They have associated themselves with our local representation of Christ s body, partnering with us so that we can better exemplify Christ. Each person has attended membership classes to learn more, met with a pastor and testified to the work of the gospel in their life, and been baptized as a believer. Each person has stood before this church body committing to help us become more like Christ. So why is this list important? Very simply, we would like you to pray. Pray that we would serve them well. Pray that they would grow in obedience to the Word. And pray that their ministry among us would be fruitful.

Pray for continuing freedom to minister to staff, patients, and the community surrounding them. So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. Psalm 67:3 4 Local Outreach Spotlight Visitor Outreach Every Sunday, our church is honored to welcome first-time visitors. During the following week, our visitor outreach team connects with each visitor who submitted a registration card. They thank our guests for visiting, attempt to answer any questions they may have, and offer to help them get plugged into Grace Church. These calls can be a great opportunity to proclaim the gospel. Team members also invite the visitors back to church, offering to host them during the services, with the goal of building discipleship relationships with them. For more information call

To this end, Grace Church members hold evangelistic Bible studies in jails, rehab centers, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and on Skid Row. Groups also go door-to-door right here in our own neighborhood. Grace Books has a part-time opening for a shipping and receiving clerk. Responsibilities include data entry; unpacking, labeling, and storing shipments; and fulfilling Web orders. Applicants must be available to work weekdays and alternating Sundays. Position requires excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office; and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Web Developer/Programmer. The Grace Church IT Department has an opening for a Web developer/programmer. Must be proficient in HTML/CSS, object-oriented programming (C#, Java, VB, Ruby), server-side scripting (ASP, PHP), and relational databases (SQL, MySQL, MS-Access).
