4 ENCOURAGE, STRENGTHEN, AND SERVE FEATURE Grace Advance is pleased to announce the launch of Grace Advance Teams (GATs), an exciting new opportunity for members of our Grace Church family to come alongside our Grace Advance churches. Today, twenty-five fully autonomous churches exist in North America because Grace Church responded to the needs of the body of Christ through the formation of Grace Advance. Now teams from Grace Church will begin making visits to those congregations to encourage, strengthen, and serve them. Trips will begin this summer and continue throughout the calendar year. Similar to international STM teams, GATs will minister in ways such as leading Vacation Bible Schools, helping renovate church facilities, conducting community outreach, and much more. In the coming months and years, there will be many opportunities to encourage and serve our brothers and sisters in these congregations. Some trips will be long weekends, while others will last a full week. Some are within driving distance of Grace Church, and others will require a flight. In most cases, the trips will be very cost effective between a few hundred and a thousand dollars and families with children will be able to participate. All this makes GATs a wonderful opportunity for both those who cannot travel overseas and yet still desire to serve God s people and those who are already ministering internationally and want to serve domestically as well. Our first trip, scheduled for June, will be to The Fountain of Grace Church in Medina, Ohio. Pastor Mark Rice has been shepherding this group since January Mark is a TMS grad who served in Poland and Canada before completing additional training at the Grace Advance Academy and moving his family to Ohio. Pastor Mark needs a team to conduct a Vacation Bible School during the day and then provide childcare

5 in the evening, while a marriage and family conference is conducted by other members of Grace Church. A second trip, tentatively scheduled for July, will visit Grace Family Baptist Church in Heber City, Utah. Pastor Tim Cowell, also an alumnus of The Master s Seminary, has been shepherding this congregation for a little more than three years. Heber City is a heavily Mormon area, and biblical Christians are definitely the minority. The desire is for the team to lead a Vacation Bible School, assist with outreach, and build a place for the church s children to play. If you d like to learn more about these and other exciting ministry opportunities, you re invited to attend an informational lunch meeting on Sunday, February 21, immediately following the 10:30 a.m. worship service. No experience is necessary, just a heart for those in need and the ability to commit to a single, four-hour shift per week. Experience with general ledger software is also helpful. Data Entry. The Grace Church Accounting Department has a part-time opening for a data entry position (approximately hours/week). Requirements include experience with data importing and entry; excellent customer service, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
