Psalm 139:13 16 ONE S Local Outreach Ministries Abortion, the constitutionally protected right to murder one s own unborn child, continues to be the preeminent social injustice of our day. And we, as followers of Jesus in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation (Philippians 2:15), have been commissioned to advocate for the rights of the most defenseless in our society (Proverbs 31:8 9). None of us at Grace Church needs to be convinced of the evil of abortion. However, many of us don t know quite how we can help. An evil of this magnitude seems to demand an absorbing commitment, and not all of us feel equipped to respond in such a grandiose way. But although there s little we can do that would end abortion in one fell swoop, there are a number of opportunities to save lives one step at a time. One of those opportunities is upon us, as the Open Arms Pregnancy Clinic (OAPC) is

5 TEP AT A TIME gearing up to host their annual Walk for Life. The OAPC ministers to women (and men) facing unplanned pregnancies by offering pregnancy testing, ultrasound exams, education, prenatal instruction, biblically based parenting skills classes, and material resources. Staffed by faithful Christians many of them members of Grace Church the OAPC keeps the gospel of Christ central to their entire ministry. These brothers and sisters battle on the front lines against abortion, seeking to minister compassion, comfort, and hope to those who can save their babies lives. 7 Job Opportunities Mail Room Clerk. Grace Church has a part-time opening (12 15 hours/week; hours/day) for a Mail Room Clerk. The successful candidate must have excellent communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills, as well as a valid driver s license. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a continual basis and be able to walk up and down stairs. Nursery Workers. Children s Ministry has several part-time openings (10 15 hours/week) for nursery workers. Hours are primarily Sundays and Wednesdays. Must be able to exhibit love to parents, children, and staff, and desire to serve with humility, patience, and joy. Prior work experience in childcare preferred, and must be able to pass a background check. Applicants for employment must be, if employed, biblically qualified as a deacon or deaconess and a member of Grace Church.
