4 FEATURE Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the Apostle and High Priest of our confession. Hebrews 3:1 This beloved passage from Hebrews, written to Jewish Christians contemplating a return to Judaism, reminds believers of our heavenly citizenship and identity in Christ. We have been made members of the family of God through the atoning work of Christ, our great High Priest, and are now citizens of heaven. Like the apostle Paul, we now press on toward our heavenly inheritance, For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20).

5 Like these Jewish Christians, we ask the question how do we remain faithful and steadfast in a world fraught with confusion, turmoil, uncertainty, and pain? The answer: we consider Jesus we dwell on the glorious nature of Christ, the perfect life of Jesus wherein we behold His character, His sacrificial death for sinners, and His ongoing work of intercession for believers. We give our utmost attention and deepest contemplation to Him, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). As women, we daily experience an onslaught of competing demands on our time, energy, and affections. We desire to maintain a godly perspective, faithfully serve the Lord, and grow where He has planted us, yet we often become distracted or tempted toward anxiety, discontentment, and selfishness. For women who desire to be pleasing to Christ in all things, we must continually fix our gaze on Jesus and anchor our hope in the future that awaits us. Hebrews reminds the believing woman that Jesus is supreme we can devotedly follow Jesus and have confidence that He does not disappoint. Join us on May 19 as women in different seasons of life share the joy they have experienced in being partakers of a heavenly calling, and consider how God has enabled them to hold fast to Christ through all circumstances of life. Whatever your situation and stage in life, you can fix your hope on the changeless Christ and find joy within the house of God. 6 HIGHLIGHTS Faith Promise Your Faith Promise giving affects the gospel ministry efforts of our missionary families and ministry partners around the globe. Grace Church ministry partners Faly and Lily Ravoahangy shared the blessing of meeting the needs of believers in Madagascar through the written Word of God. Faly wrote, On a recent visit to Ambohimanja Biblical Baptist Church, where Lily was invited to be the keynote speaker for a women s conference, we met several women whose Bibles were literally falling apart. We were able to distribute new Bibles during our visit because of the generous gifts of Grace Church members. We deeply cherish the rich fellowship and the eagerness the ladies have to learn from God s Word. We left encouraged, thankful, and prayerful. We are grateful to be used as instruments to bring God s Word to His people in Ambohimanja. Praise God for building His church in Madagascar. Alzheimer s-dementia Ministry Saturday, April 28 9:00 a.m. T370s Guest Speaker: Dr. Jon Scott Families touched by dementia are invited to meet monthly for spiritual encouragement, helpful shepherding, and warm fellowship over a light breakfast. Children s Ministry currently has several part-time openings (10 20 hours/week) for nursery workers. Hours are primarily Sundays and Wednesdays. Must be able to exhibit love to parents, children, staff and desire to serve through humility, patience, and joy. Prior work experience in childcare is preferred and must be able to successfully pass a background check. Applicants for employment must be, if employed, biblically qualified as a deacon and a member of Grace Church.
