3 P A S T O R S COLUMN Wow! My Dad is gone this week and YES!! I get to write his column for him! After all, I am the Editor-in-Chief. However, that Terry Ratcliff lady sure does an awful lot of work on the bulletin and getting it to press on time. Sometimes that s a pretty difficult thing to do. I think my Dad s pretty lucky to have her around. Even though she doesn t give me as many treats as some of the other ladies do! Yes, my Dad is finally taking a break and getting out of here for a few days. (except he didn t take me with him...) However we all welcome Fr. Steve Ebel for helping out this weekend. Fr. Steve is excited about returning to Sacred Heart as he was the assistant priest here back in the early 1980 s! Thank you, Fr. Steve, and welcome back to Sacred Heart. I m so excited, especially after last week s announcement of Cardinal Timothy Dolan coming to Sacred Heart, celebrating Cathedral Sunday and talking at our RED DINNER!! My Dad has been asked several times How did you get the Cardinal here? and he has Cardinal Dolan s good friend Fr. Bob Busher to thank! Yup, sometimes it s not what you know, but who you know and my Dad has benefitted from that! So I m just hoping everyone is putting that on their calendars and saving the date of February 7 th for this milestone event for the entire Diocese! I m hoping my Dad takes me to the spa and has me looking really dapper and beautiful! THANKS to everyone who has shown their appreciation and acknowledgement of my Dad s 30 th anniversary this past week (and also my birthday, which was on Monday!) The cards and gifts were most appreciated. I want to say a special THANK YOU to the VIETNAMESE community for their thoughtfulness and gift. You are all a very special community and I m so happy you re a part of our Sacred Heart Parish/Cathedral. Blessings to each of you!! CHILL and GRILL next Saturday night, June 30, after Mass!! So finally, I know you folks talk about the dog days of summer, which usually aren t till later July and August, but it s been feeling pretty dog days if I don t say so myself. As a matter of fact, for me every day is a dog day, so I m thinking that s just all right. Just be glad that we don t have squirrel days. That d make everyone a bit whacky. 7 BẢN THÔNG TIN CỘNG ĐOÀN MẸ MÔNG TRIỆU CHÚA NHẬT XII THƯỜNG NIÊ N NĂM B Wao! Bố tôi đi vắng tuần này, tuyệt vời!! Tôi được cơ hội viết cột thông tin cho bố! Xét cho cùng, tôi là Trưởng Ban Biên tập. Tuy nhiên, thật sự thì chính là cô Terry Ratcliff là người làm việc rất nặng xấp xếp bản tin đế được in đúng thời gian. Tôi nghỉ rằng bố tôi rất may mắn có được cô ở văn phòng. Mặc dù cô không cho tôi đồ ăn như mấy phụ nữ khác! Vâng, bố tôi cuối cùng lấy dịp nghỉ hè, rời phố một vài ngày. (chỉ có một điều là ông ta không mang tôi theo,) Tuy nhiên, chúng ta đón chào Cha Steve đến giúp cử hành Thánh Lễ cuối tuần này. Cha Steve rất phấn khởi trở lại Chánh Tòa Thánh Tâm vì người là linh mục thợ tá nơi đây năm 1980! Xin cảm ơn Cha Steve và xin đón chào Cha về với Thánh Tâm. Tôi rất là phấn khởi, đặc biệt nhất thông tin tuần vừa qua loan báo Đức Hồng Y Timothy Dolan sẽ đến Thánh Tâm để dự Thánh Lễ Chúa Nhật Thánh Đường và sẽ phát biểu trong BỮA CƠM ĐỎ!! Có nhiều người hỏi bố tôi Làm sao mà cha mời được Đức Hồng Y đến Thánh Tâm? và chúng ta cảm ơn cha Bob Busher, nhờ ngài là bạn thân của Đức Hồng Y! Đúng như vậy, đôi khi không phải là những gì chúng ta biết mà là người chúng ta quen và bố tôi hưởng lợi nhờ điều ấy! Và tôi hy vọng rằng mọi người ghi vào lịch và để dành ngày 7 Tháng Hai 2019 cho dịp quan trọng cho toàn Giáo Phận! Tôi hy vọng ngày đó bố tôi đem tôi đi Spa và tắm rữa làm dẹp cho tôi!
