A musical dramatization of Jesus' last evening with his disciples Maundy Thursday, 7:30 pm at Grosse Pointe Memorial Church, Grosse Pointe Farms The music department at Grosse Pointe Memorial Church invites all Fort Street members and friends to worship on Maundy Thursday at 7:30 pm at Grosse Pointe Memorial Church, as they present the premiere of the new musical drama, Journey to Jerusalem. This hour-long drama features a libretto by Marilyn Biery set to music by James Biery, with David Roberts as Peter, Diane Schoff as Judas and Michael Fowler as Jesus, with the Grosse Pointe Memorial Church Choir, and chamber musicians. James Biery will conduct and Marilyn Biery will be the organist. Easter Sunday April 16, :00 Marilyn Biery was commissioned by Memorial Church to write the libretto for this drama, which she did in conjunction with music director James Biery, and with the counsel of Rev. Sarah Godbehere and Rev. Susan Mozena ministers at Memorial Church. The drama tells the story of Jesus washing the feet of his disciples, the Last Supper, and the events in the Garden ofgethsemane.
