Praise the Lord, O my soul! We will praise the LORD as long as we live; we will sing praises to our God all our lives long. Happy are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord their God, who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down; The Lord watches over the strangers; He upholds the orphan and the widow. We selfishly look only to our own interests and ignore the plight of our neighbor. Forgive us, Lord. Help us to rely on You as the Giver of all Life. Empower us to fully engage in Your world as beacons of light, drawing others to Your saving grace and healing love. It is right to give our thanks and praise.

3 Blessed are You, O God, and blessed is Jesus Christ, Your only Son, whom You sent out of love for the world to be our Savior. By the Holy Spirit s power, He was born of us, shared our joys and sorrows, and offered His life in perfect obedience and trust. By His death, Christ delivered us from our sins. By His resurrection, He grants us new and abundant life. By His love, He sanctifies the church to be His holy bride and now, prepares the wedding banquet. Dying, You destroyed death. Rising, You restored life. Lord Jesus, come in glory. When we eat this bread and drink this cup, we proclaim Your death. Lord Jesus, come in glory. Together we pray Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for Thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. If preaching, then deliver sermons. If serving as a missionary, then prepare yourself to go forth. Work for the Lord with untiring effort & with earnestness of spirit. There are different gifts, but the same Spirit gives them. Each is given a gift by the Spirit, To use for the common good. Speaking for the Session of this church, I bring the 2016 JIPC Mexico Mission Team to be installed. 6 Gather in the sanctuary as our children and youth share what they ve learned this year in Sunday School. Whether it s basic Bible stories, how to navigate the books of the Bible, or how to grapple with our faith in a modern world, Sunday School classes help children and youth grow as disciples of Christ. Help us encourage them along their journey of faith by joining in the celebration next Sunday, June 5th! In addition to our presentations, Duncan Meadows will share our 2016 Summer Bible Challenge: Fruit of the Spirit: Always in Season! Without the distractions of school-year chaos, summer is a great time to be intentional about tending the Fruit of the Spirit that God has planted in our hearts. This challenge will give your family the tools you need to make the summer a season of growing in faith together. SUNDAY SCHOOL IS FOR EVERYONE! In addition to our classes for children and youth, we have five adult classes that meet weekly. Contact Cameron Smith to find out more information about the class that s right for you: Disciples Class meets in the Café and will continue to work through the book of Acts. Discover Class meets downstairs in the Christian Education building and is studying Jessica LaGrone s Set Apart: Holy Habits of Prophets and Kings. En Gedi Class meets upstairs in the Christian Education building and is studying Kyle Ilderman s Gods at War which works to dethrone the idols that compete for our heart s allegiance. Faith Builders Class will study Kara Powell s Sticky Faith Guide for Families and discover ways to help our children build faith that lasts. Kirk Class meets in the Fellowship Hall building and is studying All the Places to Go by John Ortberg.
