JAMES ISLAND OUTREACH COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING SERVICE is today, Sunday, November 22 at 6:00pm at James Island Christian Church (15 Cross Creek Drive). Please bring a canned good to donate to JIO. CHRISMONS TREES REES our worship committee invites you to help set up and decorate our Chrismons Trees. Join us this Saturday at 9:00am in the sanctuary. WNL WNL CHRISTMAS SERIES NURTURE ERIES resumes December 2 with our Advent wreath making workshop. ADVENT CRAFT LEADERS NEEDED EEDED! On December 9 th, we will have a wonderful opportunities for children and adults to make gifts for our mission partners, their families, and friends. We need at least eight adult leaders per night to work in teams to help lead craft stations. All of the supplies will be provided by the church. Leaders are asked to help with preparing supplies, setting up, explaining, and cleaning up the craft they will lead. Please deliver to Duncan s office by December 2 nd. MISSION THANK YOU to all who donated to the Operation Christmas Child and to those who volunteered in our James Island Collection Center. CLOTHING DRIVE In partnership with Harbor View Presbyterian again, we will be collecting pre-owned or new outerwear clothing for Hispanic men living and working on Johns Island. Clothing needed would be jackets, coats, work boots, sweats, flannel shirts, & gloves. Collection boxes are located in McAllister Hall and the narthex. The deadline for donations is December 1 st. HELP FOR HALOS HALOS, one of JIPC s long-time ministries, provides support for abused and neglected children in the Charleston area. Current need: New or used dressers for kinship care families (adults who have taken in children, usually relatives, to keep them out of the foster care system) To contribute, please contact Emily Brown ( ) or Henry Meeuwse ( ). JAMES ISLAND OUTREACH needs your donations of non-perishable foods, especially canned pasta. You can bring your donations to the church narthex, gymnasium, or McAllister Hall. CONSECR ONSECRATION SUNDAY UPDATE As of Friday, we ve received 162 Estimates of Giving cards pledging $634,325. We still have 219 families who ve not yet responded to our Consecration Sunday, and we encourage your participation. Of these, 46 families made pledges for the current year and we pray they will submit a card for this year.

December 2: Advent Wreath Making Come create a beautiful Advent Wreath for your home that will help you focus on the light of Christ this Advent season. $5 supply cost per wreath. December 9: Christmas Gift Making & Christmas Card Fun Enjoy making gifts for your friends and family and take a moment to sign a Christmas card for our service men and women and homebound members. December 16: Christmas Pageant & Party We will cap off our Advent Series as our cherub and children s choirs present the annual Christmas Pageant and share the Christmas story with us. Join us for the pageant in the Sanctuary at 6:00 p.m. followed by dinner. CHRISTMAS PAGEANT CHILDREN: Rehearsals have begun! We invite all children from 3 years old through 5 th grade to participate in the JIPC Christmas pageant. Rehearsals are from 5:30-6. Ages 3-5 will meet in the narthex and 1 st -5 th graders meet in the choir room. ADULTS: if you are looking for a fun way to contribute during the Advent season, we can always use volunteers to help with the children and with costumes. We welcome your time and talents!
