3 PRAYER OF CONFESSION Unison: Gracious Lord, we confess that we have broken Your law and disobeyed Your will for us. Grant us Your forgiveness and set us free from our bondage to sin that rules over our thoughts and actions when Your Holy Spirit is absent. In Jesus name we pray. Amen ASSURANCE OF PARDON (Psalm 81:13-16) Leader: If my people would only listen to Me, if Israel would only follow My ways, how quickly I would subdue their enemies and turn My hand against their foes! 5 Announcements Feb. 10, 2013 We have different gifts, according to the grace given us (Romans 12:6). God gives different spiritual gifts to different people. He also gives us the necessary strength to use them. Therefore, we are responsible, as good stewards, to make good use of our own gifts for His glory. ---Stewardship Committee Join us here at First Presbyterian Church for our "Olde Tyme Hymn Sing" tonight, February 10, at 6:00 p.m. to sing your favorite hymns, led by director Mike Gerbo. Special Music will feature Pastor Alan & Sheryl Mullikin of LeGrand. Refreshments and fellowship will follow the program. Zaida Haight has moved to the Kennybrook Nursing and Assisted Living facility in Grimes, Iowa to be closer to her family. Zaida recently spent some time in the hospital. Any correspondences to Zaida should be sent to: Tim Haight 7605 Silver Stone Court Grimes, Iowa Marshalltown Area Catholic School is hosting a FREE Young Parent Iinformation Fair on Sunday, February 17, from 6 8 p.m. The fair will be held at St. Henry s Gym, 310 Columbus Dr. The fair gives young families, as well as couples wanting to start a family, the opportunity to ask questions and get answers about their child s health, nutrition and development. There will also be information about insurance, financial planning and support services. Tamara Melde Please join us for movie time on Sunday, February 24, at 3:00 to watch Letters from God. Following the movie, we will again enjoy pizza. There will be plenty of fun, fellowship, and food. Our Wednesday Club family will be invited to attend as well. 6 New Joys and Concerns Nancy Kremer, grieving the death of her mother, Imogene Greeno of McMinnville, Oregon Mick DuBois and family, grieving the death of his aunt, Cleo Jordan Brinda Evans, moved up on the transplant list for a new liver; pray that the Lord will provide a donor for her Donna Hixson, at home, under the care of IA River Hospice Rebels in the Central African Republic still control the town where the orphanage is located. Contact with the staff has been re established and an aid package will be delivered this week. The children, staff and orphanage have not been harmed.
