We continue in the seven-week Easter season because the news of resurrection life is too incredible to celebrate just once, or even twice. Welcome! The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace. The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God s law, nor can it do so. Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God.

3 Let us confess our sins and acts of the flesh to God in silent prayer so that we might live in the Spirit of Christ covered by His grace. Let us pray. SILENT PRAYER PRAYER OF CONFESSION Unison: Risen Lord, forgive us for our lack of faith. We are anxious about everything and worry endlessly about what we cannot control. It makes us unhealthy and prevents us from doing Your will. Help us to rest in Your peace and trust You for all that we need. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen. ASSURANCE OF PARDON (Romans 8:9-11) Leader: You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of His Spirit who lives in you. Barry & Sue Bryant, new granddaughter, Ophelia Hope Bryant- Koch, born ; parents are Shari & Ben Koch Mindy Tullis, recuperating from breast cancer surgery Carol Tullis, biopsy shows that she has Temporal Arteritis DeLoris Holubar, returned to Southridge for rehab, and to recuperate from a broken hip and femur Continuing Joys and Concerns Boots Geiger, Michelle Wilkinson s aunt, in a nursing home in Wisconsin with health issues Joe Meyer, Joe goes to Mayo Friday, April 28, for consultation and fitting for up-coming gama knife radiation May 4.
