Cards will be collected until February 4th, Cards will be recycled and used for art projects at Camp Courageous. They are able to use the entire card for their projects so you do not need to remove the back of the cards. Drop boxes have been placed at the church entrances where you can leave your cards. MECHANICSVILLE MCC Food Pantry: We served 40 families consisting of 45 adults, 37 children and 32 seniors during the month of December. 17 of the 40 families utilized the pantry twice this month. Our HACAP pick-ups are scheduled for Tuesdays January 9 th & 23 rd at 9:00 am. We will need help unloading, shelving and bagging beginning around 9:45 at the pantry on these days. A HUGE thank you to Brother s Market in Lisbon for their very generous donation of canned soup, vegetables, taco mix, salsa, and other items this week. We also purchased 150 pounds of ground beef from Brothers at a greatly reduced price this month. We are very fortunate to have their on-going support and such a great store so close to home. Thank you to North Cedar Elementary for their donation of many canned good collected during their December Holiday Meal in Mechanicsville. We greatly appreciate all your support! Our January distributions are scheduled for the following dates: Thursday, January 11 th 6:00 7:30 pm Thursday, January 23 rd 6:00 7:30 pm Saturday, January 25 th 9:00 10:00 am Mechanicsville Lions Blood Drive Wednesday, January 17 th at the Memorial Building from 1:30 6:30 pm New Grandsons: Congratulations to Keith and Nancy Walshire on the birth of their TWO grandsons. They are August and Ellis Ahrendsen born to their daughter, Julie and husband, Michael Ahrendsen. The new boys are welcomed home by brother, Oliver and sister, Neva. What a wonderful Christmas gift!! Everette Walshire: Please continue to pray for Everette as he is recuperating from heart surgery currently in St. Luke s Hospital.
